         <title>First Amendment </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>    Right of free speech, press, assembly, religion, petition. This amendment gives the basic rights for individuals to express themselves.</p><p>    Tinker V. Des Moines shows a case of freedom of speech to children. The case was ruled in the kid's favor, stating that the armbands worn to protest Vietnam War did not disrupt district rule and emphasizes how federal law are above state or even school law. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>    Right to citizens to bare arms outside of a militia. Allows individuals to own a firearm in their own house or on their persons for own protection. </p><p>    McDonald v. City of Chicago supported rights from second amendment of owning firearms for protection. Individuals in Chicago challenged the cities law of re-registration since it prevented them to obtain the firearm.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>    Prevents the government to force soldiers into homes without person consent. During the Revolutionary War, this was more major problem, but today, it still is effective in terms of a future war.</p><p>    Engblom v. Carey ruled a violation of third amendment when residents were kicked out of homes during a strike, to house members of National Guard. </p>]]></description>

Allows for all individuals to be given same opportunities in court.</p><p>    Miranda v. Arizona created the Miranda rights of today. Prevents an interrogation to be conducted until they are ready their fifth amendment rights.              </p>]]></description>

Allows for cases to be equally supported and not held because of the information. </p><p>    Gideon v. Wainwright was presented after Gideon was refused a lawyer since it was not a capital case in the state of Florida, which led to him representing himself and receiving a guilty verdict.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>    Creates boundaries on punishments of crime. Allows for equal punishment to reflect crime. </p><p>    Furman v. Georgia ruled a violation of eighth amendment since Furman was sentenced for murder with the death penalty when a robbery escape attempt led to a fallen gun to go off and kill house member. </p>]]></description>

Darby ruled Fair Labor Standards Act to be unconstitutional in reasoning of violating commerce clause. </p>]]></description>
