In todays lesson we had a workshop with a very lovely lady. ( who's name i forgot) We was in a circle and was doing different vocal techniques. Then we got put in pairs or three's and one of us had to make a noise and the other person had to follow the sound of their partner. We done some other vocal techniques to expand our vocal cords. After we laid down on the floor and took some time to relax and done some release techniques to relax. Furthermore we got into three's and done a Tiktok trend where we do an action and make the other two would make a noise to what you are doing. The last task we done was reading a script but with every bullet point, comma, elipses we would have to turn a corner, stop or just walk. In todays lesson I think it was very helpfull learning different techniques to expand our voices and confidence. We can use this advice in the future, Also we had a q&a at the end where we asked her about cating where she gave us advice. This lesson was very fun and i enjoyed it :)

In todays lesson we got our new script for our FMP. What we did was we picked a role and read the whole script. Shan would change our character letting us have a chance at different roles seeing if we fit the character. We read through the whole play and at the end of the lesson we was told we have to audition for our role and we have to pick what character we want.

In todays session we done our auditions. We already got our scripts on Monday and was told to prepare for our auditions. In the lesson we had around 45 minutes to prepare for our audition. We had to pick a character and do around 2 pages or more to audition. Then we sat as an audience and watched each person audition. When we went up we would have to say our name and who we want to audition for and then we would perform, if it wasn't a monologue the audience would say the lines to help out the person auditioning. I was nice watching each person go up and help each other out. We find out our results the next week :)

In todays session we worked on the first scene. We found out the results of our audition the night before as Shan put it on teams. I'm very great full for the role I got as it is the one I auditioned for :) We first discussed the roles as some people in the class got double casted and we had to go through the process of explaining how we are going to work out the timing of each person. Then we worked on the first scenes, first few pages. We would stop and start to work out the positioning and wording of each character. The lesson was fun and exciting s we are finally starting our Fmp.

In todays lesson we worked on the play. We first started of with a warm up, we had to walk around the room depending on what speed Shan wanted us to do, then we had to follow the actions she told us to do. This helped us with getting our blood pumping. Then we started going through the script and working on each scene with the time we had. During rehearsal the class and Shan would stop and start if we wanted to change something with scene. I think this is good as we are using communication to get our point across.

If we wasn't in the current scene we would be on the sides watching or reading our lines for when we are next on. Near the end of the lesson Shan wanted to see what we done in Despinas lesson and we made some dance pieces during the lesson what we recorded.

In todays lesson we worked on the play. We started off by going through different scenes. If it was a one on one scene between 2 characters and they wasn't in the scene they would have to go off and practice there lines together. This would strengthen the teamwork and making sure they know their cues for lines. Teamwork is a very important part of the lay that's why when we are doing a big scene we all work together if someone forgets their line or cue. If we wasn't in the scene we would help out cues or do our lines.

So we tried to decide on a sound for our party scene but we didn't pick one in the end. Basically all of us was confused what to do because we didn't know what scene we was partying and nobody was really giving ideas. But the performance we watch was good, powerful and funny.

In todays lesson we worked on the play. Lately we have been recording our lessons for UEL so at the start of the lesson we had to go to the camera and say our name and what character we are playing. Usually when we film it means that we are doing a whole run through so we did. We had our scripts this day to help us know our lines and so we can have a smooth run through knowing our queue lines, but it was our choice if we wanted to challenge our self's and not have the script. Then somewhere in the middle of the play we had another movement piece where we had to come together, pick a song and do some kind of movement. When we picked the sound we worked together as a group to work out the movements of what we should do. We thought of a simple choreography and practiced it adding ideas when we felt was right. Working together for a movement piece is very helpful as we can discuss what will fit each person and what we want to do for our self's. We added it to the play and carried on with running through the play. This lesson was fun as we laughed a lot when discussing what to do :) .

In todays lesson we worked on the play. We didn't record today but we did work with our scripts again. We tried to go through the whole play but we didn't have that much time as this lesson is usually short and we would stop and start to make sure certain scenes looked good. We also worked on the movement scenes soi looked good when we used our lines in them. It was a short lesson but a fun one when we added extra scenes to it and worked on some of the movements.

We didn't really have class but whoever came we discussed some of the movement pieces and what we done in the lesson before so that Despina was all up to date. Then we watched the Level 3 yr2 performance of Bugsy Malone which was very good, so good i watched the 7 o clock show :) .

In todays session we worked on the play. We recorded today's session I'm pretty sure and we didn't use scripts, to see if we are confident with our lines. We started with the beginning talking about how we should start the show. Shan had an idea of a little party scene to start of the show and imply something that comes in later on in our show. So we had ideas of songs and movements and discussed it as a group and went with what looked good. We practiced it a good few times and then we started from the first line of the play to connect it all. We started from the beginning to the end of the play without using scripts and I would say we done quite a good job, there was times where we did need help and Shan would assist us on our lines. But overall i would say we done good.

In todays session we worked on the play. We didn't film today and we didn't use scripts, as Shan would help us if we forgot our lines. We worked on scene 3 to scene 9 and we tried to focus on the important bits we needed to focus on. If the class wasn't performing we would be either learning lines for the next time we was on or we would assist the people on stage if they missed their queue or line. We also took some time to focus on one of the movement scenes to go through what each person is doing and the timing whilst also adding a little bit of choreography for when we exit that scene. It was a nice lesson.

In todays session we worked on the play. We was recording the whole run through of the play without our scripts so it wasn't like a normal lesson it was more of a run through without discussing anything but we did have them moments when we did. We went through each scene running them and if we didn't remember the people who wasn't on the scene and Shan would help us remember our lines. Unfortunately we didn't get through all of the play as it is a kind of short lesson but we did go through most of the scenes.

In todays session we worked on the play. We started of with a warm up by one of the Level 3 students to get our blood pumping and bodies moving. Usually in this lesson we do movement but because we didn't have a morning lesson we done a whole run through of the play. As Despina didn't know some of the music for the movements we would help out and also telling her and the Level 3 student who was there to help us what scenes was cut out or changed or added as we did make a lot of changes to the script. We tried to go through it all but we didn't have a lot of the students so other people would help out and we would also discuss certain scenes and the movement scenes so Despina was all up to date. It was a nice lesson going through the scenes.

In todays session we had our tec run. We had to come in at 9 but we had to wait and do our lines until 11 because Shan had to find props. Also we had to bring our costumes in a bag so that it is prepared for the show the next day and during our tec run it was a choice but some of us including me decided to where the clothes we brought to see if we are comfortable in them. We finally started and we already saw the set as Shan sent us a picture a few days ago but we went on the set to have a look and Shan was explaining that it is going to be tiring and stressful and also explaining the set. We started off with the first scene which we had to use either an old signed school or make our own and we had to re do the scene a lot of times to get it right which did frustrate a lot of us but that happened throughout the whole production. The light and sound crew had to get the right lighting for us and the queues for when we leave the scene. So this happened the whole day and we only got to do one run through. We did have breaks in between and little talks with Shan where she had to give us feedback on what we did good or what we need to improve. By the end of the day we was all tired and stressed as some of did good or some of us didn't but there was still time for improvement.

In todays session we had our play. We had to come in at 9.30 and started around 10 ish when everyone got there. We had to get dressed in our clothes to have a full dress run through. The first run through we had to try to do the lines ourself without Shan helping us. There was a few mistakes but we still had time to improve our skills. We had some breaks in between but most of us would stay back and help each other with our lines. We had one last run through before the show where the first cast would have to practice the scenes but for me I wasn't double casted so I was in both of the shows, it went well but we was all kind of stressed and worried but I would say that our first show for the college was very good in my opinion and it had more better energy even though there wasn't much of a crowd. When we finished we went to the green room and we was all happy and Shan gave us some feedback on what we done well and what we need to improve. We also had a break but had to come back a bit earlier than before as we had to do the second cast and work on a few scenes that Shan thought lacked. We came back and worked on some scenes and suggested ideas as a group to see what could help improve the 7 o clock show. Also because this was where the family can watch we would try to help our family get to the college or find there way around just before the show. The we was onstage, personally I liked the 3 o clock show better than the 7 o clock one because everyone had more energy and certain characters would perform it different from each other but I liked the 3 o clock one a bit better but that's my own opinion. But at the end of the day I would say we done well through all the struggles and troubles we went through and it was a good day not only the performance but behind the scenes. The class can be stressful and we might not like certain people in the class but we put that aside and worked together to make a good show and also have fun with it on and off the stage. I am going to miss this class and the fun times we had because next year we are not all going to be in the same class or we are not going to do the same subjects. But I am gin to miss it :(

Enid Blyton Research

Enid Blyton (1897–1968) was a British author best known for her prolific output of children's books. She wrote over 600 books during her career, many of which became classics of British children's literature. Some of her books are:

-The Famous Five

-The Secret Seven

-Noddy

-Malory Towers and St. Clare’s

Her writing is characterized by simple language, fast-paced plots, and a strong sense of morality and adventure. While incredibly popular with generations of children, her work has also drawn criticism for outdated attitudes toward race, class, and gender.

In the play one of the characters mentions Enid Blyton because of her storylines and in that scene the storyline was quite intense.

The Dyatlov pass incident

In February 1959, nine experienced Soviet hikers led by Igor Dyatlov died under mysterious circumstances in the northern Ural Mountains of the Soviet Union. The group failed to return, and a search party found their campsite weeks later near what is now called Dyatlov Pass.

Key Details:

Tent Slashed from Inside: The hikers' tent had been cut open from the inside.
