         <title>Trust vs. Mistrust </title>

In this part of the timeline my boyfriend had to figure out if he was going to trust or mistrust his adoptive parents, he trusted them. He trusted them because he got a sense that they were okay people to trust. "infants gain a sense of trust, or confidence, that that world is good." </div>]]></description>

He experienced autonomy versus shame because he could start to feed himself and do more things on his own when he wanted to. However he still did it so for this stage I believe he did “choose” intimacy because he did not let earlier disappointments get in the way of his relationships.
