Miah knows her basic body parts and enjoys fun games in which she confidently points them out. She loves crawling through tunnels and jumping up and down stairs, demonstrating great spatial awareness and coordination. She is progressing beautifully in her dance moves and responds joyfully to praise. Miah is making excellent progress with her potty training and shows wonderful independence in managing her toilet routines. She is now fully potty trained—amazing!

Fine Motor:

Miah finds joy in building with small Lego blocks, which strengthens her fine motor skills. She has fun using tweezers to pick up pom-poms and has established right-hand dominance. She is learning to hold her crayon and paintbrush correctly, although she does need a little encouragement in this area. She is showing great determination and enthusiasm when cutting playdough and can cut independently, though she still needs some support in holding the scissors correctly. Keep trying, Miah. You are doing so well!

Gross Motor:

Miah has progressed well in her gross motor development. She enjoys hitting the ball around the cones with a bat, although she still needs a little encouragement to navigate the ball carefully around them. She completes all her gross motor activities with ease and good coordination. Climbing on the large jungle gym is the highlight of her day. She takes great joy in kicking the ball from one end of the field to the other. Miah follows instructions well and continues to show confidence and enthusiasm in all her movements. I am so proud of you, Miah!

Visual Development:

Miah is developing well in her visual perception skills and can identify most colours, with the exception of green and orange. She enjoys games that involve finding and matching different colours and shapes around the classroom. She had lots of fun using a variety of colours during painting activities. Miah also takes delight in exploring outdoors, where she expresses curiosity in spotting insects such as ants, worms and butterflies.

As a next step, parents are encouraged to help Miah identify and name the colours green and orange through everyday play activities, such as sorting toys, reading colourful picture books or exploring nature together.

Auditory Development:

Miah has shown pleasing progress in her auditory perceptual skills. She engages well in listening games and responds to various sounds in her environment, such as the sound of a helicopter flying overhead. She can identify familiar noises in the classroom and loves listening to the different sounds that animals make during morning ring-time lessons. Miah sings along to her favourite songs and rhymes, demonstrating her ability to remember words, and she is developing well in following simple verbal instructions. She responds appropriately when her name is called.

Miah loves all areas of her creative work and has shown wonderful improvement. She tries her best to colour and paint carefully inside the lines of her pictures. She participates well in group activities, patiently waiting for her turn. Miah enjoys experimenting with different colours and using various art materials such as macaroni, sand and tissue paper. Art has become a joyful outlet for her, and she also dances with spontaneity, control and coordination. I look forward to her continued creative growth.

Music and Rhythm:

Miah has been a little emotional during morning drop-offs with her mother, but with gentle encouragement she soon settles and becomes content. She is beginning to develop positive relationships with both adults and peers and has formed good friendships throughout the year, including a special bond with one close friend. Miah has made wonderful progress in taking turns and sharing her toys when asked. She is learning to express a range of feelings appropriately and responds well in different social situations. I am so proud of you, Miah!

Miah shows a keen interest in learning additional languages and participates enthusiastically during group singing sessions when we sing the national anthem in the various languages. She listens attentively and tries to repeat new words and short phrases with growing confidence. Miah has a well-developed vocabulary and can use basic sign language gestures when prompted. Her enthusiasm and curiosity make language time a fun and engaging part of her day.
