In general, the story is about Rose, a wealthy girl traveling in first class who finds herself trapped in society appereances and engaged to a leisured industrialist. She is so tired of high society rules and etiquette living a life full of superficialities, and she nearly ends with her life by diving into the icy waters but she is saved by jack, a third class passenger. After that situation, Rose and Jack seem to get along well and start sharing time together falling in love. 

The movie was HIGHLY PRAISED BY the Academy Awards having 11 wins including best picture. In my opionion, the success of the film is due to its state-of-the-art special effects it has and the beautiful and expensive decorations like furniture and clothing dessinged to shoot the movie. The ambience created really takes you and makes you feel being on those ages.
