Missing In Venice

“Tragedy”

Everyone was excited to see the new cruise ship Symphony of the Seas. It was the biggest and most entertaining cruise ship known to man and its first voyage was May 5, 2018. It was departing from New York and its first destination was Venice. Hundreds of people signed up early to get tickets for the cruise, and thousands came to watch the majestic ship depart on its first journey. When the ship was departing everyone was amazed at just how big the ship was and everyone was trying to get a picture of it. Once everyone on the ship got to their rooms and settled in they began to explore the ship. The ship had everything you could imagine and more. Most of the parents went to the front deck where they had this adult pool with a bar for the parents to relax while the kids could have fun. Everyone was enjoying the cruise and they were supposed to be in Venice on the 7th day. When the passengers woke up on that day most of the parents went to the front deck so they could get pictures of them arriving in venice. When they got to the deck they could see the harbor and they were getting close fast. They started to get worried when they were in the harbor but the ship was not slowing down. That’s when the captain came on the intercom and said “brace for impact”.

Everyone grabbed ahold of something and fell to the ground as the ship hit the docks and was kept going. The ship was heading right into the middle of the wonderful city through a tiny canal. Even with her mighty engines in reverse, the ocean liner was pulled further and further into the canal.

Toby and Ted the teddy bear finally finished finding the formula for flight . “House plus explosion equals flight! Who knew it could be so simple?” Toby and Ted exchanged exhilarated glances. “Better strap ourselves in!” Toby tied his tiny teddy to a chair beside his. He strapped himself to the pilots seat and promptly pulled and pushed plenty of levers and buttons. The house on maple street began to flare, flicker, and fizz. It shook the ground and startled the sleeping sparrows until finally the blistering building blasted to the black sky. It was a perfect lift-off.

James had always wondered what was beyond his small town. You see, he lived in a dreary village surrounded by fog. No one ever talked about it though. As children, all the people in town were told not to go through or pass the fog, but they were never given a reason. As James grew, he noticed that everyone in town was always unhappy. There were no sunny days, no smiling families, no playing children. Once James turned 17, he ran into a strange man who told him about a beautiful, sunny world outside of the fog. James didn’t know whether or not that was true. But he had always questioned what was beyond the barrier surrounding the town. If there was an answer, he’d find it there. That night, James told his friends Stephen and Laurie about the story he was told. They all grew very curious, and agreed to venture beyond the town. That night, they all packed up their bags and met on the abandoned train tracks that led into the fog.

Another Place, Another Time(sci-fi)	If there was an answer he’d find it there.Andrew Hawks was a 14 year old boy from Blue Springs, Missouri. He lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment, with his mother; Wanda, his younger brother; Peter and his older brother; Zachary. Their father had left when Peter was 6 months old with a note saying “I love you boys but I must do what I have to change the wrong I and others in this country have done.”As Andrew and his brothers grew older, they became grew more curious of three things, what did this letter mean? Where has their father been these last 9 and a half years? Was he was still alive? Those questions could not be answered without going to find them, themselves. So that’s what these three brothers decided to do. As they searched through their fathers boxes of old stuff they found a brass compass with a rusty, worn down chain attached to it and a small button on the side. When they pressed the button, their world would change forever and they’d find the answers they’ve been searching for. If there was an answer, he'd find it there.

Archie Smith Boy Wonder- Romance“You know just sitting her and admiring him isn't gonna get you anywhere” my best friend Katy said. I looked down to my book trying to pretend like I had no idea what she was talking about. “Why don't you just go up and talk to him?!” I slightly laughed and said “you know exactly why and secondly why would I when school is ending in 2 days and i'm going to Vermont all summer??! There's just no point.” Katy laughed, “If you say so” she said as sarcastically as she could then walked away. I hate sleeping in a bed that isn't mine, its uncomfortable and smells funny. Vermont is always my favorite place to go but it's so much prettier is the fall then the summer. I woke up that morning around 12 form sweating, I decided Id headed to Lake Champlain. It took me about 20 minutes to get there when i ran into this guy and dropped my stuff i kept my head down to grab my stuff as he kept saying sorry i stood up and waited for him to hand me my things as he kept looking at me in the eyes as if i was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen. It was Hadin, the boy I was admiring from a distance and now he was admiring me. Less than 12 inches away. A tiny voice from inside my head said “is he the one?” as shyley I smiled and said “hey”

Mr. Linden's Library(Mystery) Lucy spends her summer days reading books quietly up in her bedroom. One evening Lucy finished her book and was ready to start another so she got up and started searching the book shelves in her room. She dragged her finger across the spines of her books and stopped. A mysterious darkness started to come out of the book and cover Lucy. He had warned her about the book. Now it’s too late. What Lucy did not realize was that this book was once owned by a man named Walter Peters. He was a bitter old man who hated everything, kids, cats, dogs, schools, just about everything you could think of. There was one thing he did not hate though, and that was reading. Walter spent most of his days in a dark corner in his house reading anything and everything he could think of, but there was one book in particular that he especially enjoyed. He read this book over and over, he loved it so much that he never wanted anyone else to read it. Instead of burning this book he placed a curse on it. He took this book to the best witch how could think of and had her put a curse on it. He told her that he wanted the readers to be trapped in the book, as a punishment, and that’s exactly what this witch did.
