Why: This activity helps you identify what your project is + how you will contextualize it for a broad audience. Consider it an elevator pitch. Make it interesting. 

 

Ie: 

After getting this introduction tidbit, why should viewers want to stick around to find out the end of your history when you turn it in? What questions does it raise about the history of propaganda or disinformation? How do your sources or your method offer a different perspective on history? How does your project engage with existing scholarship? 

 

This Padlet video = introductory taste of your final project. It is a genre in and of itself. It is short! Doesn’t need to cover all of your details. Rather, paint us a picture of what you are doing, how you will go about doing, and why that matters. *Each video should be approximately 2-3 minutes; videos can be of you talking or some kind of powerpoint voiceover. (fyi: Padlet cuts out at 5min! as I found out..) 

 

**If absolutely preferred, or necessary due to technology, you may also record Audio. It will cost you 5pts for this assignment, which is a substitute for an in-class presentation, hence our emphasis on visualizing and speaking about your project introduction.
