Rock Type- Limestone, Sedimentary.

Formed- About 30-50 million years ago, wide regions of Asia were raised by tectonic movements and the seabed, covered with shell limestone depositions was drained. The consistently warm, humid temperatures and the surface water which seeped into the porous subsoil and let the lime sediments weather.  Funnel shaped valleys were formed , and so called dolinas and limestone caves.

Rock Type- Igneous, granite, Sedimentary, sandstone.

Formed- The Devil's Marbles formation started about 2 billion years ago. Lava in the Earths crust began to cool forming the igneous rock granite. The next layer was thick and made of sandstone which is a sedimentary rock.  A thick layer of sandstone formed and compressed the granite under its heavy weight.

Legend- The native believe that the Devil's Marbles were eggs of the "rainbow" serpent. Formed- The process began over 500 million years ago. First the big crust blocks that form the Australian Continent came together. The feldspar sand which became the arkose sandstone of Uluru and was dumped at the bottom of the mountain range.
