         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the book the community decided in the past that memories were too difficult a burden for the community to bear. They thought that the memories would prevent people from living happy, productive lives, so they eliminated them. Even when making that choice, they still recognized how important keeping those memories were. They knew that wisdom came from memories and they appointed The Receiver to bear that burden and use them to provide wisdom when it was needed. </div>]]></description>
