The artist's style reminds me of Picasso's line drawings. Note the long continuous lines, for example the head, nose and torso etc. The strong lines highlight the confidence and familiarity the artist has of the chosen subject and her medium. And of course, the depiction of local comfort food that never fails to excite and connect us as a nation of foodies. Childlike, yet so sophisticated, aesthetically balanced and uniquely rendered; I would so love to get to know Brenda, the artist, and see more of her work. Nay, not just to see but to learn from her.

This exhibition surprises me on what people with disabilities can achieve! It opens my eyes to the minds and senses of the artists through their expression in their artwork. Hope to see more of such art installations and exhibition in the heartlands!

I love how unique a perspective this piece is. The ice kachang is like the Olympic torch, and the placement of the crescent and moon really fits with the lotus shape.
