As someone that has an interest in the stock market I as able to learn a lot form the research department. I was also allowed to join company meetings where they briefed investors and presented them with the knowledge they have gained. I as assigned to 4 children with varying ages. I was told that they were all grade 2 which was shocking to me since they did not know how to multiply and divide. They also struggled with some words in English. After a few hours it was hard to keep the attention of the children however I was able to teach them how to multiply in the end. Setting up stalls and fundraising activities allowed me to truly experience how you can enjoy something and be really stressed at the same time. I remember having to juggle such events with my majors. Despite struggling from time to time, I was able to pull through in the end. Despite the pandemic not allowing me to go there physically, the interactive online sessions made it feel like I was truly interacting with people from around the world. Although the language barrier served to be hard to overcome, I an thankful for having to work with individuals from Japan, Malaysia, America, and many more. I was nervous because I don't really remember much of the lessons I had a few terms ago but based on the reviews of the event, I was able to achieve my goal of clarifying some confusing formulas that many students struggle with.
