In this drawing, I made multiple lines going into the center of the drawing, in the middle, I drew the Palestinian flag. when I colored in the lines, I inverted them inside of the Palestinian shape to make an illusion. The actual way the illusion is created will be mainly used in the final artwork.

Here is where I will start the actual combination. You can see how in this drawing, there is a checkered background and a ball in the middle that is filled with a black and white checker theme. The main 2 differences between the 2 is how the first image has the background affecting the inside of the image which isn't found in the second drawing. The 2nd difference is the background pattern itself, in the first image, it is multiple thick lines that go right into the middle of the drawing, but the 2nd image's background is checkered. To fully combine the 2, I would have to eliminate the differences by altering the final drawing. I decided to change the first difference by making the background in the final drawing affect the inside of the shape in the middle by inverting the color filled in the shape, just like in the first image. But, I will change the background by making the empty spaces made by the lines with a checkered background.

I have seen many optical illusion (OP) artworks online and the main colors they used to truely extract the actual illusion, I found a common theme, the colors would be 1 thing, The colors would be inverted. Given this very theme, I decided to go with a basic, yet effective color combo.

White

Black

I will use a design like this for the background of my drawing, I will do this by drawing a square in the middle of the paper instead of uncentering it. I will draw bigger and bigger squares around it while using careful and accurate measurements to make it perfect. I will fill 1 square with black, then white, then black, then white, etc. this is how I will make the design, it will be slightly covered by the design in image 2

I will use this design to cover the first design. My plan is to not completely cover the first image, but to instead, make a small opening between the lines so that the first image is visible, I will do this by adding 2-3 rows vertically on the side while leaving a gaping hole in the middle for people to see the design from the first image. I will make many lines inside of the rows and color them in a pattern. I will repeat the process for each column.

I will use this image in the combination by strategically shading each square from the first image differently, I will fill the center square black and shade each square lighter and lighter shade of black/gray as we get away from the center. The aim of this shading is to give off the illusion that the center is a hole.
