Today in this real world, we have depression, and scammers. But we also have people who are doing the right thing. In the dystopian society, they still have things that dont make the world perfect because you cant have something "perfect" without a few flaws. Also between both worlds from a distance everything will look fine, but if you look closer you start to realize things are really not.

How F451's society came to be this way

F451's society is very reliant on technology advances. As Beatty said, technology made everything easier, and continued to make everything easier. Why read books when there are easier ways to be entertained? As technology advanced, it became like a snowball effect, where it became so advanced and so popular it took over the whole society. People begin to value efficiency over true experience, and it came to the point where things like books became irrelevant and shameful to use. Why read books when there are TV shows that show everything a person needs? The ease and efficiency of technology shaped F451's society into what it is. Technology and the government also has a huge play into each other, as the government enforces the use of this advanced technology and bans books.

The government is doing the controlling, and they are controlling society. It is not necessarily one person of the government, it is like workers, lower branches of it, who control people. Technology here also controls people, they feel comfort from it, but it also makes hem want it more, and rely on it more, even making them trust it more and trust the people discretely controlling them more. This sort of limits freedom of thinking for themselves, they take in and accept what is told to them with almost no question.

What are the parallels between the dystopian societies and our own ? Technology is a fundamental part of both societies in our health and enjoyment. One stunning parallel is the seashells that are almost exactly air pods. another is the wall tvs they are just slightly more advanced but tvs are getting bigger. other medical devices are making it less necessary to go to doctors. F451 shows yet another extreme where peoples blood can just be fixed by a machine.

One is technology because Mildred for example always has her seashell earpieces in and is never really paying attention and is also depressed. They are also being controlled by their government because they are not allowed to read books. Every time someone has books the firemen go and burn them immediately .

The society of F451 is the way it is now because of the power and control the government had which made it capable for the government to manipulate the society. Using the power the government had, they controlled the minds of the people in the society by making rules in which everyone was equal and didn't know much knowledge. As they destroyed the books which gave intelligence and increased the amount of technology giving more power to control and to manipulate.

With the woman who had the books burned, Montag saw that she would rather die than go on living without her books, which I think was a real eye-opening experience for him. Though, the technology is as well. It infects the society's minds to want to be more reliant on the technology, whilst also making them crave more.

In F451, books are banned and anyone who rebels according to this ends up in jail or dying. Books are a really big part of human society nowadays and taking that away from people is a big change that people shouldn't be forced to accept. Therefore they are being controlled by other peoples authority.

This is really shown by even just Montag's job as a fireman and what he has to do, which is burning the books. Another entity that is doing the controlling is the technology, this is because these people's lives revolve around their technology. From their entertainment to their health; all of it is controlled by technology. People are convinced that technology will make them happy, but this has not been the case for anyone, and this is how people are controlled and are given a false sense of happiness.

In F451 the technology has become a major part of the society. The society relies on the tech to survive. Books and objects have become distant and banned from the society. They only want the society to be based on tech because they know that they can rely on it. It's not going to let them down and no one in the society is going to have more advantages then others. Thle society became this wayt because they started to other rely on technology.

I think that the over use of technology in this society is how this world in F451 came to be this way. Help in this world with medical problems is just robots, and it is hard for anybody to get help just because there is so many people who need it. They also burn books, because technology made them obsolete. At one point, there will be technology so advanced, it will lead to people not communicating anymore, at the rate that technology advances in this story. This is why Technology lead the society in F451 to be in this broken world.

One way people are being controlled in F451 is through technology. People have become so addicted they're no longer aware of the outside world, and real events and things that are happening. Like when Mildred said that Clarisse died she wasn't completely sure and it seems like something people would remember. Another way is through the restriction of having books, which is more political. Because they don't want people owning books in fear of people having an outrage because they're offended. But also to keep everyone controlled, there would be no more religious disputes if there is no religion.

The Laws that they have in F451 are controlling people. They are controlling people because they aren't allowed to do basic things such as read a book. They burn books instead. Another way the people in F451 are being controlled is the amount of technology they have. They don't have much to do because the technology does it for them.

The government is controlling the amount of information that is being sent out. A example of this in F451 was when the bookkeeping woman made a Bible reference. Beaty knew what the lady meant, because in his time he most likely grew up with that kind of "freedom of knowledge". With Guy it was different. He didn't have the freedom to gain that type of knowledge.

The distopian society in Fahrenheit 451 was developed into one that prefers efficiency over effectiveness. Technology is created in a way that makes it "user friendly," this means a generally difficult task can be completed with ease. This eliminates problems rather than actually fixing them. For example, they created a portable machine that pumps the stomachs of those who overdose, however, they don't actually treat those people for their depression. Everyone would much rather take the easy way out and just solve issues for a given period of time rather than put in more work to completely fix it. Therefore, it developed to be more efficient but in the long run, less effective.

In most texts like this one, the government is doing the controlling and technology also plays a role in the controlling of the people. The government does this controlling by setting a standard or a rule. This always come with force and sends fear into those who opposite the rule. AN example of this is F451, though most don't get why books aren't allowed, they are burned regardless and people are afraid to go against the government. The technology they use always furthers this in texts, by further more separating them and keeping them in the hands of the government.
