Azul is located in the center of the Province of Buenos Aires and borders with the parties of Tandil, Rauch, Olavarría, Tapalqué, Las Flores and Benito Juárez.Surrounded by mountains and plains. Azul area is a prominent regional center that combines livestock, agriculture and industry, an interesting history of forts and malones and a cultural and educational life that maintains the momentum of the early years. On the other hand, the name "Blue" comes from the translation into Castilian of the name that its native town, the pampas aborigines, gave to the stream: Callvú Leovú.
