It has been decades from the transition of the BANTU education system into a new education system.
A system that is perpetuated to be free and equal for all South Africans.
A system that is there to empower, share skills and knowledge from a developmental stage into moulding an individual that is ready to join the workforce.
The question becomes which workforce? when there are no job opportunities, how realistic is the objective of the current education system? How many qualified graduates are sitting at home or in the street corners of South Africa?

After many years of black people being held captive by the racial segregation system, with no economic power or influence. How do we reclaim our economy when we have a fixed supply chain with zero access level of entry? Strict laws and high costs of policies, rules and regulations that need to be followed just to own a simple spaza shop. Incentives are being offered but are they enough? Is there enough support for entrepreneurs?
We tend to see many of our African brothers and sisters in our country trying to make a living, do we blame them for our unemployment rate currently at 35.3%?
Let's shift our focus from them occupying jobs in South Africa to Capitalists who require cheap labor and take advantage of these immigrants just to increase profits and nothing makes them happier than hearing South Africans blaming these immigrants not them.
As the current generation how do we free ourselves?

Share your thoughts, experiences and engage with me!!!

We as Africans must live up to the saying "Umntu ngumntu ngabantu" and help lift each other without expecting some kind of payment in return. We are sisters and brothers so we should not hesitate to help each other. I believe jobs are not that scarce but in nowadays it depends who you are and who you know not how qualified you are ofwhich that is totally wrong.

It would be better and wiser for us to first define freedom, and then use that definition as our point of departure, because it will do us no good if we rashly set off into discussing Educational/Economical Freedom while having different and even contradicting understandings of freedom.
It is also important to notice that even though we are technically free, but practically we are still suffocating (educationally and economically) under the aftermath of the apartheid system. The legacy of apartheid continues to segregate the population and restrict black people in terms of employment and education.
However, it is not logical for us to use unemployment to justify the crimes being committed by black people, just as it is not logical for white people (Caucasians) to use the apartheid system, and even the evolution theory to oppress and anathemise Africans. We all have a choice to exercise restraint and moral acuteness when we react to situations around us i.e. the atrocities that we are suffering, including how we treat other people.

well that is what we as South Africans believe, because of the opportunities we are given that our grandparents , parents didn't have. But how's that because there are still educated South Africans there who are unemployed, the number of blacks who are unemployed increases everyday. Blacks are still born with less opportunities other than other races. We still fighting poverty but we are a free country, we lack proper education but we are a free country, we still have to pay school fees to receive education but we are a free country. Free how ? I don't know , people bribe their way up to the top while the deserving are still at the bottom. I would say that we as the youth need to make better choices but I know people change when money is involve. They tend to be greedy so there's nothing we can do but to only encourage people as individual to create a better future for themselves.

We are not free and will never be free whilst yt people still have our forefathers riches and we are forced to be followers because we don't have money. They still have power and the upper hand in everything , the only way to redeem our freedom and independence is by being educated and also helping those who did not get education with uplifting their skills and Dexperience to get a better life . Danko

Well I've observed that South Africans are greedy and can't work hand in hand with each other. As black South Africans we'd rather help imigrants than helping each other win and also people are followers and would do anything for money , that's why there are bribes , to make the clever and observant one's quiet and carry on with greediness than helping each other in fighting poverty and having great opportunities. I believe we oppress ourselves from freedom because of capitalization and being greedy to help others. South Africa has thousands of people with good qualifications but have no jobs , because of the new greedy system , you now get a job by bribe or by knowing someone who might connect you . All in all people only care about their own interests and opportunities and not about others who are really in need , now that's not freedom for all.
