Stop motion is a type of animation made up of separate photos that can make STATIC OR NON MOVING objects move. Small changes are made by THE CREATOR in each frame to give the illusion of movement.

A time lapse or hyper lapse video has consistent time in between each frame, and it uses moving objects in a path over time or shows how TIME changes non moving objects.

Find a work space that you can keep set up for a few hours or over a weekend. Stop motion takes time because you make changes in between each frame.

Make sure you have good lighting in your work area. Work next to a window if you can. (If the light is dim it will lower the quality of your animation.)

Make sure your camera is focused on the thing that's changing in the set.

Your camera and your set have to stay in the exact same position from the first frame to the last frame. Only the objects in the set move.

Use something to stabilize your camera so it sits still for each photo. Most people use a tripod or some way to prop up the camera so it's steady and doesn't shift around. This will also help keep your photos in focus from frame to frame.

Zoom in on the action. If your camera is too far away from the set, it will be hard to see.

Charge your device before starting.
