In 2016, the XIV Alpine Conference established the Alpine Climate Board (ACB). Its purpose is to bring under one roof all relevant climate change activities carried out in the framework of the Alpine Convention.
The ACB ist chaired by Helmut Hojesky, an expert on climate policy at the AT Federal Ministry for Climate Action.

Building partnerships with private foundations whose mission is in line with the alpineclimate2050 (there are so many in the Alps!).
Strengths: potential for continued and diversified support, not on a project basis. Could also relatively easily cover secretariat cost for the ACB.
Weakenesses: it takes time to develop a trustworthy relationship with foundations, and once established, it requires nurturing and transparence (=time). However, this is not more than the time normally dedicated to project administraiton and reporting
