    somethings you can do are: 
    • find a template that works for the both of you, it can be very detail oriented or something that lets you see the big picture. 
    • when you have chosen the template make sure that you look for patterns that will make lesson planning easier for the both of you. 
    • Mix and match the way you and your partner teach lessons. the lesson can start with one teach, one assist and end with parallel teaching. 
    • Make sure to always take a step back with your partner and look at what worked well and what could be better and evaluate how you could make lessons better.

    • the role of the paraprofessional is to support students in the classroom. but it will vary depending on different factors. 
      • needs of students and demands of the classroom.
    • They are viewed as part of the teaching team. 
    • Have a conversation with your co-teacher and the paraprofessionals on the first day of school about the atmosphere and expectations of everyone, so that you are all on the same page. 
    • Show respect for the paraprofessional from day one!
    • Introduce them as a partner, not a helper. 
    • let the students know that the adults in the classroom are all educators. 
    • Give the paraprofessionals must be given opportunities to learn new skills, voice their concerns, and ask questions. 
    • Paraprofessionals are valued members of the classroom, make sure you let them know how grateful you are for their help in the classroom.
