Why would she disrespect someone like that? This old man is convinced that he saw a ghost. Plus the aunt doesn't even know that Vera did this to the old man. Vera is not a nice girl, she is rude and doesn't have respect. This is a good story with a great theme. The theme is not to believe everything that you hear. This is also a little about first impressions. Vera made a good first impression and then she kind of ruined it because she pulled a prank on a man with a nerve problem. Why didn't she listen to what he was saying. I say this because usually in some books it's easy to identify the climax and everything but in this story to me the plot wasn't clear and I also thought that the story had too many trick y vocabulary words that made it more difficult to understand.
