In reflecting on creating our first module, which was on trauma-informed care, I think it went pretty smoothly overall. In developing the module, we were initially a little confused on how to effectively make it interactive. However, with a bit of brainstorming, we were able to come up with some great activities to incorporate throughout the module to solidify participants' learning such as a group discussion, case study, and hands on activities such as performing a 5-step self holding exercise and filling out a KAWA model after learning about it. Another slight bump in the road we faced was how to successfully record the module in the most professional way. Lauren and I were initially planning on getting together and recording the entire module by broadcasting the google slides presentation on one of our laptops and then recording ourselves presenting with the other person's laptop. However, after some more consideration, we realized that it may be difficult/not as professional for participants to view the presentation in this way. Ultimately, we decided to use QuickTime to each screen-record the presentation and then use video recordings of ourselves for the discussion of activities. In this way, it made viewing the presentation a lot more clear and organized. Throughout the development of the module, I think Lauren and I worked well together in balancing the effort required for the project. In moving forward with our next module, I think we will use the same methods to record because worked well for both of us. However, I would refine this method by practicing a bit more before I went ahead and recorded because I had to record some parts several times due to me slipping up on my wording, and that got a bit exhausting. All in all though, I think we were successful. Furthermore, we will definitely improve in our efficiency during the creation of our next module due to the practice we got with this one.

Creating the second module went very smoothly in terms of actually developing the PowerPoint and videos. We already knew how to successfully record the module with screen record and QuickTime from completing the last module. In addition, practicing what I was going to say before recording definitely helped a lot in terms of not having to record as many takes.

The uploading process of the module was a nightmare. I think that partly due to the fact that my laptop is 5 years old, iMovie would not export the finalized module I edited. As a result, I had to re-edit the entire presentation from my phone and upload the iMovie to YouTube from there.

I think that challenges with technology have caused the majority of Lauren and I's difficulty with these modules. That is a good thing in that as a whole we have worked well together and most aspects of the project have gone well. In addition, perhaps the experience that we've gotten through these technological difficulties will serve us in the future by helping us better navigate online projects.
