While working as a lifeguard you communicate to all walks of life. Anyone from an infant to 80 years old. Your tone and speaking style definitely changes based on the person you are talking to. For instance kids are a lot more difficult to control than adults, so often when kids are messing around I have to blow my whistle and use more of an aggressive tone. My purpose does not change based on who I am talking to. I am still looking out to assist or save someone.

While working as a server you communicate to all types of people. Anyone from an infant to an elder. The way you speak changes depending on who you’re talking to. To young adults, you talk a little faster. To older adults, you may talk a little slower and clearer. Sometimes when these people are talking to you, you may not catch everything they say, so you may repeat what they said back to them to make sure you’re doing the right thing. In case you don’t understand who you’re talking to, you repeat back what they just said to you.
I've worked at a warehouse so the communication has to be very clear or else something might turn into a dangerous situation. In a warehouse you have to be very loud as well because there are alot of buzzers, alarms etc going off.

While working as a teaching assistant in my old high school, I had to change my speaking style to a more formal one, and I had to wear a certain kind of outfit. My tone had to be an educational and caring one. I didn’t have to be too formal, but I had to be formal enough to not annoy the teachers.

In my experience in retail I had to put on a sort of attitude that would stick with me throughout my shift, we had to dress according to the new style at the time and had to follow a certain moral guide when it came to following through with a customer, I don't remember the acronym but it involved engaging, adding, creativity and a few other things with the goal in mind of selling people more things. There were many people like tourists that I would have to completely slow down for though and be careful with, it was sort of a roulette of who would walk in so I always had to be on my toes.
