This park is located in Summerside in London Ontario. This park is one of our family favorites because it is like a hidden gem of nature, right in the middle of the city. The park features playgrounds, a splash pad, a soccer field, tables, benches, washrooms, and garbage cans. It is always so clean looking and peaceful. One of my favorite things about this park is that it is surrounded by beautiful pathways that take you down to a pond/water reservoir. I love the colorful bushes in the fall and just being down by the water. Sometimes there are ducks and geese (but not today).

This year I am living on campus for the first time so I went ahead and did some exploring. I stumbled upon the beautiful pond and waterfall right in the middle of the Mackenzie Chown complex. There are stepping stones, an ivy wall, trees, lily pads and more. In the first image, you will see the ivy wall, the second image is a close-up of tree bark, the third is the pond/waterfall and the fourth is some bright green leaves. I just thought the whole area was stunning. It's interesting to see the pond with the non-natural building and sitting areas around it. These pictures are from this weekend.  Ever since my family and I moved to Hamilton we have been going on walks on the waterfront trails at the Confederation Park.  My cousin in the picture (1 and 3) is doing what she loves doing every time she see’s rocks and water which is skipping rock.  Although majority of the park is clean, unfortunately there is still garbage around the area (shown in the 2nd picture).  I also love watching and taking photos of the sunset.

We live in a development in which our homes back onto Felkers Falls Conservation area in Stoney Creek, ON and we have the privilege to enjoy this trail every single day while walking our little Nutella. (Our chihuahua) This beautiful scenery was one that actually enticed us to buy our home 7 years ago and we still love it to this day. 
My girls love walking through it, especially in the fall, when all the leaves change colours.

I decided to take my mother on my nature walk with me as we both thought we could benefit from a relaxing evening. 

As we were walking along the trail we noticed this bird house, and to our surprise we found many more along the way. We heard from a mother and her children, who were also walking on the trail, that these house were made and put up by different families. 

The bird houses full of seeds were so nice to see and we thought..."how special".

This particular trail has chipmunks, birds, ducks and beautiful swans. Everything about this park showcases works of art created by children and their families. 

This trail is so welcoming and is unique. 

The picture on the left struck my curiosity while hiking the trail. The sticks have been used to create a fort and there is a wooden sign made for it as well. There were so many animals under it at one point as well, squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies and ducks.

It has many different trails, and a large waterfall. The area has large broken rock sediment in the waterfall and reaches out into the river (hence the name rockway). I hike here all year round, and this time of year the moss, and trees are fully green with flowers in bloom.
