- What was the most memorable moment of your CE journey?

* The most memorable part, was creating the box of hope and distributing the things to the kids. It was really lovely and joyful, to see the beautiful smile on the face of little children. Also, how the little children thanked me and friends for the stuff; that moment was very mesmerising. The feeling of doing something for needy is a very proud and rare feeling and I am grateful to be having that feeling. This moment was amazing and to be remembered for my whole life.

- How did engagement in the CE process help you grow as a young adult?

* During this process, I have improved as a person a lot. I have developed many helpful skills that would be very useful when I grow up. I have learned to appreciate different types of people rich or poor, and hep them in one way or the other. The skills consists of improving my writing skills, communicating and expressing emotions. All these skills would be very helpful in future as these all are life skills and it is important to master them all. In addition, all the universities abroad mostly ask about the role you had in the community engagement. This activity would be helpful for future as I would have a general idea in what to do.

* What did the CE experience help you discover about yourself?

This CE experience helped me discover what I am interested in, things like badminton and swimming and gave me a chance to show what I am capable off to my friends. One of my friends older brother is graduating this year and while applying into different universities, most of the good universities are asking about the community engagement and the extra curricular we do overall. In conclusion I would say that the CE experience is going to help me in future and what I do right now are like baby steps for the big things coming up.

* What was the most memorable moment of your CE journey this year?

This year, the most memorable moment of my CE experience was when my friends and I worked as a group for a cause that we were all passionate about. It was really memorable how we all went to learning teams, and presented/raised awareness for our cause. Our service was to gain a lot of box of hopes, so that we can help the impoverished children all around Asia. Alongside the process of raising awareness for this cause, I found that this was actually an I issue of my interest, and that I was passionate about the cause as a whole.

* How did the engagement in the CE process help you grow as an individual?

I developed a lot of skills in the journey of the community engagement process, because I had a wide range of CAS activities that were all different in their own ways, and included a lot of new skills that I learnt. When I went over to India (temples), I learnt to appreciate all of the advantages I had in life, because of all the impoverished individuals. I also gained a sense of responsibility, and I felt that the whole CE journey this year has been very productive. Another skill, I developed in this journey was my time management skills, due to the numerous commitments I had, with their timings. I also learnt to reflect on my actions better, because of the SA questions and the various reflections we did.

* What did the Ce experience help you discover about yourself?

Through this community Engagement experience, I figured that I had a passion for helping poor people, and raising awareness for that cause. I also figured that I had the drive to commit to a task, due to the numerous classes, I had. Another thing, I discovered about myself, is that I am very able at singing, dancing and playing badminton, is I practise, and that practise is something that really helps me develop my skills in things. To conclude, I found out that if individuals start off with raising awareness and doing community engagement at, at least to a society level, the whole world will be impacted in a beneficial manner, and the world will be a happier place.

I was very proud of the result and felt that all the effort my fellow ambassadors and I had put into it was definitely worth it.

During this year I have grown to respect the amount of work that goes into organising a huge event or gathering, and now have experienced the process myself. I now understand all the necessary steps and have grown more responsible in the process.

By being involved in the CE process I have discovered that I love being in a leadership position and collaborating with my fellow students to make the world a better place. I look forward to organising socials with my peers.

What was the most memorable moment of your CE journey this year?
The most memorable moment of my CE journey this year was when I did BOX OF HOPE. My peers and I worked together and advertised an annual charity project aimed to provide useful/educational gifts to underprivileged children, in Hong Kong & Asia donated by Hong Kong school children and local organisations called box of hope. We advertised this annual event by showing learning teams of our year levels a powerpoint of what box of hope is and how it can help make the world a better and superior place to live in. As box of hope gives children items and toys which they are deprived of getting because of their financial condition. Box of hope was very memorable for me because I felt I did something to help little children and bring a smile on their face which made me really proud and contended it also made me more courageous to peruse people for a good cause. Box of hope was a really good experience and no other CE activity was so unforgettable.

How did CE help you grow as a young adult?
Community engagement helped me quite a lot to grow as an young adult, because through the aspects of CE I have become more responsible, considerate, communicate and caring. As box of hope helps me become more responsible by thinking about the unprivileged children, I makes me more considerate about my community and how I can help it, a-swell as it makes me caring, because I believe I was very caring to give children items and toys which will help them a lot and will bring a smile on their face. perceive that all these aspects help you become and independent young adult. I think this is the most memorable moment because my friends and I worked together and went to meetings of Box of Hope, and also presented to other classes so they could also donate a Box of Hope. Box of Hope motivates me as I want kids in Asia to be happy when they receive the box.
2. How did engagement in the CE process help you grow as a young adult?
I had a lot of CAS activities and I had at least one of each (Creativity, Action, Service), and answering SA questions helped me develop new skills and learn new things, like being able to answer questions in detail. I also learned that ManageBac is very important in MYP, and you have to get at least a B. The SA questions are not questions I would consider answering during my class, but I still put a lot of thought in these questions.
3. What did the CE experience help you Discover about yourself?
I learned a lot during CE, and I also discovered a new me because I helped Asia and I made kids happy every year.
