This blue sea glass is very smooth, on both the surface and the edges of the glass. The glass is entirely smooth with no sharp edges at all, which is really very fascinating as to how this might have happened.

Here you can see the checklist I brought with me on one of my visits to the beach. You can see that it has been completed by my younger sister, I wanted to see the difference between mine and her observations of the shells. It is clear that we both made very similar observations with some different impressions on colour, shape and texture.

What is sea glass?

Sea glass is physically and chemically weathered found on beaches along salty water shores. Sea glass comes from bottles and jars, and the force of the water and hitting off other objects in the sea cause the glass to develop new characteristic texture and shape. Sea glass takes 20-40 years, and sometimes up to 100 years to acquire these textures and shapes!
