However, this course expanded my knowledge on the various domains of care that a patient may require attention to and the subsequent modalities that they may use. I have to be ready to work with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and even traditional therapists if need be. What I have listed just brushes the surface of the number of team players that may be working with my patient. I felt as though true healing for a patient came from physicians or therapists. This course has shown me that health care is truly intermingled with interdisciplinary care. No one team member in a patient's circle is capable of healing them directly. Rather, diagnostic imaging holds a substantial role in helping locate the pathology a patient may be inflicted with, which later will be used to eventually treat the patient. I can use my transducer to assist the interventional physician to aspirate the lesion and reduce pressure in that patient's abdomen.
