I agree with the statement because if the prices are more expensive, people would prefer to stay at home then go out but there is also something bad which is you do not get to explore the world. In my opinion, I do not think overtourism is a problem in Singapore as we have many hotels to stay in. We can reduce the amount of hotels booked by having people who live in Singapore to not go on staycations that often and instead travel to other countries. Right now, my family plan to go overseas and we do not go to staycations as often now. In conclusion, I do not think over tourism is a problem in Singapore.

I disagree with that statement. Our future generations may struggle to pay for their things if we keep on increasing the price of items.

“Extreme poverty anywhere is a threat to human security everywhere.” — Kofi Annan, Seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations.

We should keep the prices the same so that people struggling to get money or future generations don't struggle to afford for their own needs.

In my opinion, I think overtourism isn't a problem. We can keep barriers and have a limit on how many people can be in that place. We can avoid buying too many of the same item. If we see that the shopping mall/store is full, we can go another place or buy it online.

All in all, we should not increase the prices of items.

There are benefits and non-benefits of charging extra prices to tourist. Some countries rely heavily on money gained from tourism, if they charge extra fees to visitors, less visitors would come and the country's financial situation would lose stability. On the flipside ,if they charge more to tourist, less tourist would come. That would reduce the problem of overtourism. Tourist have been reported to harass locals in many countries .This is one of the problems of overtourism. In my opinion, countries with this problem should make a law that fines tourist who bothers the locals in the area. Fortunately for us, Singapore has since 2013 pursued "quality" tourism, attempting to attract target audiences with quality offerings "to prioritise growth in tourism spending over growth in tourism arrivals." This way, we still get money from tourist without having the problem of overtourism. To conclude this article, I think we should only travel when needed.
