At the same time, I encourage harmony within the group to avoid conflicts.

    I provide real-life materials, ask questions and create scenarios to encourage Ss to think about the use of English in real life and compare it with the theory they just learn

    --> Western: encourage exploreation, individual and critical thinking instead of accepting everything I teach them as facts (application of knowledge in real-world contexts)

    But then I warn them about what tests expect so they still need to abide by the theoritical ruse (Eastern: rote memorization of theories)
