1. Only collecting data from 1 place (e.g. one school when you want to study STUDENTS IN SG)
2. When not all variables were kept the same, other than the research question (e.g. when investigating average amount of time spent on homework weekly, we ask 10 primary and 10 secondary, we should instead separate our conclusion into avrg amt of time for Primary and Secondary school students, not draw one conclusion)

Unreliable Data:
1. When data is taken from too few test subjects (e.g. when studying the effect of the increase of water prices on SG, collecting data from only 10 households would not be reliable because SG has a lot more than 10 households)
2. When the researcher favours one group of test subjects over the other, s/he may present data in an inaccurate thus unreliable manner.

Invalid Data:
1. When the survey question is unrelated to the research question (e.g. when researching the amt of time an avrg student spends on CCA weekly the survey question should not be "What is your favourite subject" etc.)
2. When the survey question is wrongly phrased and hence misunderstood by test subjects, they will provide inaccurate data and hence may be unreliable/invalid to the research.
