Ugandan women typically wear the same types of clothes. Many women wear a colorful, layered dress called a Gomesi. They typically save the Gomesi and other fancy clothes for fancy celebrations and outings. They also wear wrap around skirts, blouses, and shoulder wraps. For footwear, the wear open toed shoes and high heels. Some women choose to use chemicals to bleach their skin.

Fiesto Goes to Market

In the story Fiesto Goes to Market, Fiestos father was ill so he couldn't go to the market that day. Fiesto had to step in and take over. On his way, two different individuals asked if he could bring his stuff to the market and sell them for him. Fiesto agreed and continued on. Then a very ill boy asked to ride with him to the market to pick up his medicine. Fiesto agreed once again and then he hit a roadblock. These older boys were teasing him and saying that he was to young and weak to do a man's work. Then Fiesto persevered and got into a fight with the boys. This didn't stop Fiesto though. He made it to the market and gave the people their money back. Overall, I think that the message of the story is to persevere through challenges that you might face and to be kind to others.
