1. Click on each literary work's title to first go to its corresponding Goodreads web page.
2. Read through the summary of the literary work and author information, if available.
3. Read through several reviews posted by others.

4. Using your writing journals, for each literary work, you will:

a. Write the title, author, and genre

b. Write a three sentence summary

about the literary work based on the information on the web page

c. List three to five words or phrases that others used to describe the work that you find to be the most helpful

5. Watch the corresponding film clip for that literary work. 6. Going back to your writing journal, answer the following:

d. Based on the what you've read

and the film clip, is this a book you would want to read? 

e. Why or why not?

f. Does this book remind you of

any other story you've read or movie you have seen?

7. Repeat this process for each of the seven selections.
