Rehearsal 2 of the song. in this video we performed the song and experimented with different movement styles, harmonies and strumming patterns. This went well because I got a chance to see what works well in terms of the strumming pattern, to see which one suited the song better.

In the following videos we are annotating the script. The purpose of this is to emphasise I’m key elements of and focus points of the script in attempt to tell the story better To the audience. This consists of cutting out a lot of lines and Some events in the story. This when well as we discussed why some lines where being cut out and discussed the relevance of the lines that are not being cut out. We didn’t spend a lot of time doing this however.

Opening section rehearsal

We rehearsed the opening scene, when consist of the essals being carried around the space. Aswell as other actors. This went well because this is when we started to understand the importance of this scene. The actors moving around the space. Are supposed to be people looking ar gallery art and the way to do this Ian by establishing the the rank of person you’re going to be.

This is a vocal warm up lead by Tyon and I. This warm up consisted of lip trills, scales and the diaphragm push. This was to prepare us to rehearse the song. Tyon and I usually struggle with trying to get everyone focused so we turned the warm up into a game so everyone’s takes it a bit more seriously

In this video we did a full run through of the show from the start up to do scene 4 where we have gotten up to. The purpose of this is to work on stage directions and transitions. This went well because a lot of us didn’t need scripts. And to an extent could perform it like we were on stage. But it was also quite slow past and starting to dry out towards the end

SOme of the ideas we explored during this rehearsal was having back ground characters who are injured or need medical attention. In order to really set the scene And give the audience the idea that the scene is taking place in the hospital. The only problem we dealt with in this scene was positioning on the stage. Because it was difficult to stage on one spot of the stage and deliver lines without turning your back go one side of the audience. this can be improved with better vocal projection and spacial awareness.

scene 5 consist of high energy level movement and lifting of other actors. it was directed by Stephen. and looks amazing. at the end of the sequence she hits the floor. this is our way or portraying the accident she has at the pool. in this video we surround her and perform a body cracking sequence. the purpose of this is to communicate bones cracking which indicates injury of some sort.
this is great because its not too dancy, i think the only problem we dealt with was our timing but that can improve with practice

In this session we refined some blockings, so audience members can see us. and collectively discussed ideas for the conclusion of the scene. this was successful because we solved a few problems through the discussion and people got a chance to express their ideas. we did get carried away a bit with the conversational part of the task

in this scene we focus on scene 9 all to the end of the play. the problems we faced was timing with our transitions, positioning and vocal projection. on the other hand we're all off script and have a strong idea of the blocking for these scenes. the precision of the transitions will come with more rehearsal

the purpose of this warm up was to relax us before the show. i thought the best way to relax without resting our bodies completely was with trust exercises. the only problem i faced was getting people's attention, because the exercise was fun, people used it as an opportunity to talk. on the other hand the warm up was effective in settling people's minds
