         <description><![CDATA[<div>Where others had failed in uniting Germany, Otto von Bismarck succeeded.&nbsp;he had came from Prussia’s Junker class, made up of conservative landowning nobles. Bismarck first served Prussia as a diplomat in Russia and France, and then as prime minister to King William I.&nbsp;<br>In his “blood and iron” speech delivered in 1862, Otto von Bismarck set the tone for his future policies. He wanted Prussian legislators to vote for more money to build up the army.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Bismarck was Lutheran and he didn't like the Catholics because he thinks they loyal the pope first than Germany&nbsp;and he didn't like that. Bismarck started a battle against the Catholics which lasted from 1871 to 1878. His goal was to make the Catholics to put loyalty to the state then anything else and by doing that he made some laws on they can do and what the shouldn't. Then his plan backfired and the Catholic Center party was growing in strength so he tried to make peace with them.</div>]]></description>
