Dietitian: A dietitian's job involves providing food and nutrition information to people, in order to improve their health. Some qualified dietitians have the opportunity to modify diets to help manage conditions like diabetes. They offer advice to people to help them improve their well being. A dietitian has the ability to assist a diabetic because they have the skills to lead the diabetic in the right direction of choosing the foods that are healthy to that specific person.

Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE): A diabetic educator's job is to work with you, and make a plan with you to stay healthy. A CDE can provide self-care management, or self-care training. They will help you understand what is going on inside your body, and they will teach you the best methods on how to live with diabetes.

Podiatrist: People with diabetes can develop many foot problems, but foot disease is an avoidable complication of diabetes. Podiatrists monitor foot health of anyone, especially people with diabetes. Diabetic nerve damage can lessen your ability to feel pain, heat, and cold. Diabetes can cause changes in the skin of your foot; the skin on your foot may become dry, and it may even peel or crack. Diabetes causes blood vessels of the foot and leg to narrow and harden as well.
