         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scroll almost to the bottom of the page to find the Goal setting section. I've copied and pasted one section below which I found interesting. It explains that only about 50% of students are expected to meet the projected growth (the number that NWEA automatically inputs on the goal setting page). It is pasted below:<br><br>By default, growth is set to the <strong>Projected Growth</strong>, if available. This growth projection is personalized to your student, because it is based on <em>matching peers</em> from NWEA norms (<em>same prior RIT score</em>, grade, and weeks of instruction between testing). </div><ul><li>Using matching peers provides a fair comparison, because students with high starting achievement generally do not grow as much as students with low achievement. </li><li>Projected Growth is the midpoint for these peers (half grew more and half grew less).</li></ul>]]></description>
