Analysis:  Christopher's Dad lied right to Christopher's face and told him that his Mother was dead.  But she wasn't and was writing letters to him every week. But since Christopher's Dad lied to him, Chris was unable to be in contact with his Mothere

Analysis: His father just completed erased Christopher's mother from his life. He lied so much that for years Chris' mother wrote to him but Christopher never saw them. Christopher never stayed in contact with his Mother because of his father.

Analysis:  Although this quote doesn’t seem like this relates to the thesis Christopher’s father has lied so much, that Christopher has lost respect/ trust for his father.  He only trusts his Mother who hasn’t lied but not his father because he has lied multiple times. Also this shows how Christopher (with his condition) loses trust in someone very quickly, and his father knows this but decides to lie anyway.
