Zanzibar a Dream Destination

Hello all,

I am Sadoof Habib, a medical doctor. Through practicing medicine, I had the chance to work with an amazing colleague from Zanzibar. They always talked about how gorgeous the island is and every time they went for vacation, they will bring spices as a gift. Since I love the beach and the smell of spices so much, Zanzibar is my dream destination. It is famous for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, that is full of marvelous marine life. Also, known as “Spice Island” for growing variety of spices such as clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, and many others. The Stone Town in Zanzibar is a UNESCO Heritage site which capture the mixture of cultures and ancient buildings. Moreover, going through the history, I would love to see the historic Arabic influence including architecture, the Arab Fort and Sultan’s Palace. I hope one day I will visit Zanzibar.

Canada - Dream Travel Destination

Hi Everyone, My name is Tracey Edwards. I share my dream destination with my husband. We would both like to travel across Canada by train including the Rocky Mountaineer.
My husband is a Rail Enthusiast and I have been interested in Canada since I was 12 years old when I first saw pictures of it. It has been our dream to travel there and travel right across Canada by train for most of our married life of 24 years. We hope that one day we will get the chance to do this.

Hello All. My dream travel destination would be Nepal.

My wife and I have travelled extensively, but one place we haven't been but would really love to visit is Nepal.

We had our plane tickets and basic accommodation ..... and then we found out my wife was pregnant, so we shelved our plans.

Now that we have 2 young children a trip to Nepal seems like a pipe dream, but I'm sure we will get to visit someday in the future,

Hi Everyone,
My wife and I volunteered recently as a neurologist and intensivist at the KCMC hospital in Moshi, Tanzania. We had a wonderful break during our stay at KCMC at Zanzibar. We got spoiled at Zanzibar with beautiful beaches, lovely accomodation, very friendly people and a very interseting history.
I felt like a dream. We hope to dream again in Zanzibar, someday.

Hi, my name is Rita. It is difficult to choose just one dream destination, because I have quite a long list of places I would love to visit. There is one place though that is on my list since a long time: Costa Rica. It has been recommended to us by family members who really enjoyed the beautiful beaches with sea turtles and also trekking through the jungle and discovering the wildlife. Even if I have been living and working in sub-Saharan Africa for nearly 18 years, I have never traveled by rail. Several friends and colleagues rave about the wonders of rail travel in the continent and I am left wondering when I will be able to do it. Work is insanely busy and even during my R&R and Annual Leave I am busy doing a course or catching up on work.

Although I have driven overland and across borders through many Eastern and Southern African countries, the mystique and wonder of rail travel crosses my mind a lot.

Hi all,

I'm Dawn Tooke, a GP in Glasgow, Scotland. I love to travel, and now my children are getting older it's so exciting to travel to new places(and old favourites) with them. This is from Khao Yai National Park in Thailand where we plan to travel in March this year with our three children. Next year, I would love to travel to Ecuador with our small family; the highlight would be a trip to the Galapagos Islands. All our children love animals, and my youngest son in particular would love to see penguins in their natural habitat. My husband have been before, almost 20 years ago, but it would be extra special to travel there with our children.

I would love to explore the South Pacific, particularly Fiji, Samoa and Tonga as a global rugby fan, with a stop off in Auckland to see some close friends who love it there. I'd love to explore the cultures of the islands. My wife is also keen for me to take her to Bora Bora one day! Our honeymoon was in Maui over 10 years ago, but we've not yet ventured further into the South Pacific! Perhaps when the children are a little older we can plan a trip to the region!
