During those moments we all have about the world around us, I actually sometimes find myself thinking about my name. How does my name fit me and my personality through the world's eyes? Do I really look like "a Kennedy"? If I were a boy, my name would actually be Nathaniel, which means "gift from God." In addition, my Dad wanted my name to be Morgan, as he worked for JP Morgan Bank at the time, however that ended up as my middle name. Ultimately, the name my parents decided does carry significance in my family. My Mom's name is Kenise, my Mom's Dad's name is Kenneth (but people call him Kenny for short), and my sister's name is Campbell. My Mom really has a thing for the "K" sound. More especially, it's easy to notice how my Grandpa, Mom, and I all share the "Ken" in our first name. My Mom did something similar with my sister's middle name where she mixed my maternal Grandma's name, Brenda, and my paternal Grandma's name, Anne, which makes Breanne. I like this connection between our relatives, and would therefore never change my name. After signing or printing it on all of my work a gazillion of times, I've taken it as a part of who I am. Furthermore, I have some Irish ancestry. Kennedy is an Irish Gaelic and originally male name, but it is now considered to be unisex. It means "ugly head" or "helmeted head," which I don't think is too ideal for a girl to have, but many people I meet tell me it's a nice name. My surname, Hill, is also from the region, being from from England and Scotland. I like my name— a name which I've only met two people with it. I find it more unique then other typical American names such as Allie, Ben, Davis, Carol, and Jessica.

My life's filled with E—Exploration,

As I explore, I come across some ups and downs, like my last name, Hill.
I move from school to school,
Trying to fit into the N—"Normal"  Ways of life.

And as a N—New student, I go from Person to person, confidently having To repeat, "Hi, my name is Kennedy."

Well, who is Kennedy?

Kennedy has an E—Ear for music,
She loves to sing, play the flute, and Listen to music.

She's shy but, can be D—Daring,
With her name meaning "helmet head," strong and sturdy, 
Willing to take risks 
By the means of potential success.

And as the young universal citizen she is, she Y—"Yolos it,"
Trying to live in each and every Moment, as she knows she will only Live once as a Kennedy Morgan Hill.
