Making Connections: The teacher will ask students to think of a time they have ever had an idea that they were afraid to share. After, the teacher will ask for the students to turn and share with a partner. 

Inference: The teacher will ask students to break up into pairs and ask them to discuss what happened to the egg throughout the story. Ask, what do you see happening on each page as the story continues?

Summarize: The teacher will ask students to use the SWBSTF model to come up with a summary about the story. 

Visualize: The teacher will ask students to illustrate a time they had a big idea and what it meant to them.

• Sensitive: The boy was very nervous and scared about what others would think of his idea. 
• Adventurous: I think the boy is adventurous because his idea  was always growing and growing. At first, he didn't want to be around it but the more the idea followed him, the better the boy felt and the more the idea grew. 
• Brave: The boy was very brave because even though he was nervous to share his idea with others, he would still tell people about his idea.

• Charming: I think the idea was charming because even though the boy didn't want the idea to be around him, the idea kept following the boy. This led to the boy always wanting the idea to be around him. 
• Likeable: The more the idea followed the boy, the more the boy wanted the idea around him! Thus, leading the boy to always want to take care of the idea. 
• Bold: The idea never left the boys side. Even if the boy tried to leave the idea, the idea was bold enough to never give up and kept following him. Because of this the friendship between the boy and the idea blossomed. This wouldn't have happened if the idea gave up on following the boy.
