In the project "All the same and yet different - human rights and living together in school life" a Danish and a Liechtenstein school as well as an Austrian association with training and integration projects for refugees organize two educational initiatives with direct meeting. The main objective of the project is to provide pupils with knowledge and values about human rights and tolerance through school and experiential education methods thereby sustainably expanding their social and intercultural skills.

In the preparatory phase the learners get to know each other via a protected chatroom, work together on an eTwinnings website and work on the topic of human rights in a variety of ways.

Then the trainees themselves deal with the topic in the form of project oriented teaching. Ten nationally mixed groups of students work on a theme each and present their work in English at the first student exchange in the form of a ski camp in Austria and at the second in the form of a summer

camp in Denmark. As a result the learners spend a maximum of time together and experience a healthy and varied lifestyle. Especially in the camps experiential educational elements are used to bring the group closer and to truly live up to those values in the sense of human rights which were treated in detail in the preparatory phase.

The task of the young people from the Austrian association as they are over 15 years old is to advise the students as experts on the topic of human rights in the student projects and also to help with the presentation in the camps. Above all the leaders will provide significant support to the teachers in

terms of the content of the project.

Numerous learning opportunities for expanding media and foreign language skills, peer-to-peer learning and other modern forms of teaching are opening up learning opportunities for both pupils and teachers.

To assess the impact of the method online surveys are conducted with both qualitative and quantitative surveys of the learners. The results of the initial and interim surveys will also be used for further work on the project. The teachers will also report on the extension of their teaching competences.

During the term the following innovative products are created: the description of the pedagogical concept in text form and a didactic practice folder with material collection in digital form. Both should be provided free of charge expandable and adaptable to other topics.

Shortly before the end of the project the whole package will be presented in a multiplier event in Liechtenstein to give educational experts as well as vocational trainers from the surrounding area the opportunity to exchange experiences with us.

Tarup Skole is a public school in Denmark and is located in the suburb of Tarup in the region

South Denmark in Odense. Odense is the third largest city in Denmark with around 200,000 inhabitants.

750 students aged 6 to 16 attend Tarup Skole. Each year is divided into three classes. There are 27 classes with 43 teachers and 32 people from the pedagogical personnel department. They work together in teams. About 300 children are in after-school care every day after school.

Near the school there are detached houses, terraced houses and blocks of flats. Very close there is a sports field, a small forest and a meadow with a small stream. Not far from the school there is a recreation area and the port, where numerous water-related activities are offered. We also use these environments for outdoor activities with the learners.

The students in our school strive for knowledge and the parents are very supportive and positive about what is happening in the school.

In recent years, a focus has been placed on the development of learning environments.

Halls, corridors and other available spaces are also used for study.

Tarup Skole has four core values around which everyday life and activities revolve.

The first is community spirit. We are all different - in class and at school. Being different is a strength, so it's okay to be different.

The second value is engagement and participation. The students attend school every day, they are on time and ready for class and they have done their homework. It is also about respecting each other, teachers and other staff.

The third value is the feel-good atmosphere. Learners are expected to show a positive attitude when interacting with other colleagues, teachers and staff in general.

Personal development is the fourth core value. Learners go to school every day to learn and grow. They work on what they are good at and improve on what they still need to learn.

With regard to teaching development, we work on three pillars.

1. Learning through music and creativity

2. Learning through international and cultural experiences in real life and virtually

3. Learning through technology

Learning through music and creativity is implemented through a cooperation with the Odense Music School.

The school supports learning through technology with iPads in primary school, Chromebooks in secondary school and the oldest students bring their own devices or borrow the computers from the school on an hourly basis. Tarup Skole also takes part in a project called 'Børnene iRobotbyen' (The Children in the City of Robots).

Learning through international and cultural experiences is implemented e.g. through eTwinning projects, Erasmus projects, ePal, the reading rocket (Danish material from IBIS OXFAM and the organization “Save the Children”).

In March 2019 Tarup Skole was favored with the eTwinning School Label, which is a very big honour and we are very proud of it.

The Oberschule Eschen is one of three district schools in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

After primary school, there are three types of schools available to the pupils - the grammar school with increased requirements, the junior high school with middle and the high school with basic requirements. In the secondary school, children with special educational needs are also taught in an integrative manner.

The high school prepares the students for their careers. Particular value is placed on the development of personality and the general life orientation of the young people. After the fourth school year, there is the step into professional life such as an apprenticeship with vocational schools that accompany the apprenticeship, but also the possibility of attending a secondary school.

At the Oberschule Eschen, diverse and practical teaching is offered, which is based on the individual needs of the students. This strengthens the confidence in one's own ability to perform. The range of subjects is very similar to that of the Realschule and is based on the same curriculum. However, the lessons at the Oberschule are increasingly based on the experiences of the students.

In the high school in Eschen, new individual ways of learning and teaching are also explored. At all levels, so-called learning studios are offered, consisting of three lessons, in which the students work individually on their subject matter. In addition, the learners in the 8th grade should carry out their own project as part of the project lesson, to which they should be guided through smaller projects in the school years before.

In 2020, the state equipped the learners with netbooks. In several classes at the Oberschule Eschen, the pupils are taught sports in English.

Most of the instruction at the Oberschule Eschen is given by a class teacher. Subject teachers complete the team. A supplementary teacher (remedial teacher) is available for each school level. We attach great importance to working closely with parents and providing them with comprehensive information about their children's learning progress.

Pupils with special learning and development conditions get supplementary lessons and in small learning groups they are particularly supported and encouraged.

The foreign-language students receive additional support in the German language in DaZ classes (German as a second language).

Since 2012 the association "Vielmehr für Alle!" has been campaigning for human rights in Austria. The starting point of the work is that refugees have the same basic rights as everyone else, but they are often denied them. This is shown in Austria, for example, by the fact that asylum seekers and those entitled to asylum from the age of 15 too often lose the right to school. The project "PROSA - Project School for All!" has been organizing its own school with basic education and compulsory school-leaving courses since 2012 to counteract this exclusion.PROSA creates empowering and power-reflective educational material for the courses, which accompanies the learners through the individual school levels in the form of lesson scripts. The association "Vielmehr für Alle!" also designs and manages advanced training and multiplier trainings especially for teachers, trainers and various educational institutions with a focus on those critics of racism and discrimination as well as solidarity and human rights (references: evening high school in Vienna, university of education Vienna, teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, youth college Vienna, Bifeb - Federal Institute for Adult Education Strobl, etc.).
