Reflect-From this poem, I learned that the speaker reveres nature and earth and that it is most likely a huge part of his culture.
Connect- This poem is similar to the Ute Creation stories because they both have this deep respect for nature and it is reflected both by the words of the Ute and by N. Scott, Monday.

Don’t be fooled" I feel like this is a very true statement for anyone in life that we seek for entertainment from people that we know and love to much sometimes. I learned that it important to cherish the moments you have with people who entertain you because you never know when it will be the last time. "You don't have anything if you don't have stories"  What I got from this line is the idea of spreading ideas and information to other nations and other people.  Stories recount the history of the people, to tell where they came from, or to relate to exploits of a particular hero or person.

This line is important because it represents his views on how humans should treat their environment. Throughout the poem, he states that humans should know the world as if it were themself, he then uses these descriptors to form the conclusion that humans are part of nature. 
Reflecting on the poem I can gather that he holds life as a priority and wishes that other people did the same.
This poem connects to the creation stories by describing the importance of the world.

 I think this is a very cool quote that shows their connection to the things around them and how they like to learn,and just make a good relationship with them because they realize they are not the only people on earth. Reflect:  I think this poem is telling us to pay attention to what is around us and how we are all connected in different ways.  

Connect:  This connects with the creation story because this poem and the creation story talk about how we need to remember our history and that we are all connected in some way or another.

This line stood out to me the most because I feel like before people had technology like today in order to keep people's culture alive we told stories. I think stories also help us learn and remember the history of things that could easily be forgotten otherwise.
