Neighbors Work Together to Save Local Stray Animals! (Room 5)

We are journalists in a local neighborhood and we report community stories. First, there were many stray animals in the neighborhood and hungry dogs were eating trash, so the neighbors were very worried. To solve this, the community started a food campaign and an animal adoption program because they wanted to help. As a result, many dogs found a home and they have food now, so the neighborhood is happy. In the future, they are going to build a new animal center and organize a big adoption day. Protect animals because they are part of our community!

The Medellín River is Dirty (Room 3)

The Medellín River is an emblematic symbol of the city. Grandparents say that people used to fish and swim in the river. Nowadays, that is impossible. There was a lot of garbage in the Medellin river. The water was dirty and polluted. There was a bad smell and many people didn’t like the area.

The community decided to help, the Volunteers cleaned the river and students helped collect the garbage. The river became cleaner and became smell good, the area looked more beautiful and some animals returned, so people enjoy stay around the river.

They are going to plant more trees and start a recycling project. These plans will help the Medellin river clean. Together, we can make our neighborhood better.

Last year, the school had a very old playground, broken benches, and dirty walls. It looked ugly and unsafe for the children, so some parents decided to act. The parents helped immediately, and the students painted the walls in the playground to make them look beautiful again.

Next month, they are going to work to improve the school garden and plant new flowers so that the garden looks beautiful. Finally, they are going to decorate the school to make it look pleasant because it is necessary for the students to feel in a cozy place.

Parents and students should take care of the school so that it stays clean.

As journalists, we are reporting on an important community problem that affects many people in Medellín. Our goal is to inform citizens about the dangers on the streets and the actions that can improve road safety. First, dangerous streets in Medellín are a serious community problem because there are too many cars and heavy traffic. As a result, many people feel unsafe when crossing the streets. To address this issue, the community should organize meetings to raise awareness about the importance of road safety and respecting traffic signs. In the future, the government is going to implement a safety campaign that will include new crosswalks, safety signs, and traffic lights to protect pedestrians and drivers.

In conclusion, if everyone works together, Medellín can become a safer city for all.
