  • Some of the student suggestions relating to people and how to shift their ideals has been a barrier.

  • How do you get beyond the base levels of relationship and get to a true and authentic sense of the relationship.

  • Political division is a barrier.

  • Sometimes policies at the school or district level is a barrier; EX: required minutes of attending schools.

  • FAFSA completion has been a barrier for parents who have no SSN for both parents and also no email address.

  • Access and/or knowledge of technology can be a barrier for those that lack the experience or form of knowledge.

  • The system is not set up for students to have true power to change and transform the conditions that hold the systems barriers in place.

  • Ideals and mind sets of adults part of the problem.

  • Trust, or the lack thereof, is a barrier.

  • How do you get into the space of pacing guides, curriculum, standards - we feel responsible for them. Students are struggling and teachers don't have all of the personnel resources or any resources to adequately do the work. Survival mode.

  • There's no way, we go back to school and internet is down, maintenance is needing to be done, various classrooms with heating issues. Teachers should not have to deal with these basic needs challenges. Environment matters and we shouldn't have those issues consistently. Why does it take a broken window months or years to be fixed?

  • We need more funding...
