Mr. Tushman the principal of the school brought in three kids to show Auggie around the school. Their names are Charlotte, Jack, and Julian. They take him to the third floor where their class room is. For the most part everybody has been nice to Auggie. When they get down to the 2nd floor, in the auditorium, Julian starts to act like a jerk. He starts acting like he is the only one that matters. Then he asks this one question, "Why do you look like that Auggie?" Auggie isn't like other kids. He was born differently. His face is all messed up and he is kind of insecure about it. I thought that everybody would be nice to Auggie. This might change things in the future because, I think that Julian will become a bully to Auggie ad bully him about how he looks. When Auggie and his mom get home from the tour his mom asks him how it went and he told him that Julian was the meanest one out of all of the kids. His mom says he doesn't have to go if he doesn't have to go to the school if he doesn't want to. But, Auggie says he wants to go. Even though he knows somebody is bullying him he wants to go to the school anyway. In the beginning of the book, Auggie doesn't want to go to the school but after he sees the school he wants to go. When it's lunch time, Auggie goes around asking if seats are taken and everybody says yes. This led me to believe that nobody wanted to sit with him so he just sat at a lunch table where nobody was there. He saw and heard multiple making fun of him in secret. But then a girl named Summer walks over to Auggie and sits down. She says, "is this seat taken?" Auggie says no and they start to talk. Then a girl came over from one of the tables saying, "come back to our table. There is more room." Summer stays at the table and says she would rather stay at the table with Auggie.
