One word I found that was used a lot was manage.
-The pages explains why Sam wants to fight for the colonies and to have freedom, when Sam's father want's to still be ruled against England, and is against the Patriots. I chose this section because I thought it was interesting why 2 people in a single family have different opinions on which side to fight for in a war.

James Lincoln Collier grew up in a family full of writers. His father wrote children’s books and many of his aunts and uncles were writers too. He has been a journalist for more than 30 years and graduated from Hamilton College in 1950. He wrote several books and more than 600 published articles. Not only that, but he also is a jazz musician who plays the trombone professionally.
He wrote My Brother Sam is Dead with his brother, Christopher Collier, who is a historian. They have collaborated on many other books including With Every Drop of Blood, a story that takes place in the last days of the Civil War.
His books have received praise from many different sources.

The word uniform was said a lot, and I was able to tell that there was a large difference in the perspective of Sam and his father.  Sam's dedication for the freedom of the colonies could easily be seen. This section stood out to me, which is why I chose it.
