My late grandfather is the person who reminds me and continues to inspire me to practice the spirit of Magis. He was a generous man who actually without him, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to go to Ateneo Senior High School and have a dream in Law. He believed in me from the start, in my skills and in my talents, saw where I can put those to good use, and loved me as much as he can by providing me with the financial capacity to grab opportunities that come my way. He also did the same for those who were not even his children or family, helping those he came into contact with grab their own educational opportunities with his financial aid. He always chose to do the more loving option, and I will forever do the same.

Everytime I think of OrSem, I am reminded of the new and fun experiences I had meeting my block for the first time. But without a doubt, OrSem wouldn't have been possible without all the volunteers and organizers that helped; sacrificing a lot of their time, spending day and night to ideate, practice, and prepare, and the main reason for them being able to do all of this and for them being able to sacrifice so much of their time and effort is simply because of love.

My lolo was the first person to teach me about the spirit of Magis. He was a businessman and inventor of sorts. He used to say that studying in the Ateneo is very different from other universities, as it teaches you how to be a better person. While others simply teach the basics of a certain course or job, the Ateneo makes it a point to teach its students ethics, morality, and the Jesuit perspective. One of these ideas revolves around money. He says that a business should be focused on helping people, and that money is only supplementary. I want to use the lessons that I gain in my college experience to help people like he did.

This is an image of my grandmother and I think she is my greatest influence in practicing Magic. I would always hear stories from my parents about how my grandmother helped different people by giving them money without asking for any interest in return to start their businesses or to get their lives together. She also has an incredible memory as she remembers many people's birthdays as well as favorite food and tries her best to give people those favorite foods even if they are difficult to make. My grandmother is one of my greatest influences for being a kind and generous person who cares for others sometimes at a loss on material things but always gaining in the heart.

This is the logo I created in my LAS assignment and may also be the logo I'll use when I open a cafe. The logo symbolizes equality and the ASL community, the hands resemble the logo of the ASL while the color of the skin means the 'equality', their's no white, no black, just in between.

This anime character, Uzumaki Naruto, has suffered in his younger days. The people around him sees him as a monster, someone who should disappear from their community for everyone's safety. I believe that I am able to practice Magis the most through serving the org community with the help of my supportive friends and colleagues. Being able to execute these fun and insightful events–and how the participants tell us how much these helped them–really urges me to continue in my desire to serve the community while fulfilling my passion for managing a team and doing creatives work. Although most of them were not able to experience the onsite setting, this urges me more to choose the more loving option and simulate the experience for them to still enjoy college.

Last April 2021, I started my own community pantry in our town in the province of Bulacan. What pushed me to do this is the eagerness within me to be able to share the blessings I get from living a comfortable life to those who aren't able to live such convenient life. It isn't much, although for me, being able to provide even just a meal's worth to people who cannot afford exemplifies the spirit of magis.

Besides going to Ateneo for the entrance exam, the first time that I had to go to Ateneo was for a meeting with JGSOM Sanggunian, and from hereon, not only did I step on the campus for the first time again, this also led me to my first step in knowing my love in being in the service sector. I also learned here that the love to be learned here wasn't any ordinary love, it was the love that led me to magis. This team made me realize the magis that I bring to the service sector is truly one that makes me want to do more and more, even and especially amidst the trial and travails faced or to be faced.

I like looking at the sky a lot - this photo I took of the sunset and a rainbow reminded of God's promise to Noah but more than that, sunsets and the night sky remind me of how much God has given to me. Beyond just the material blessings, His grace displayed on the cross is more than enough but He still gives and provides through His spirit here on Earth. Knowing this, I am reminded everyday to extend the spirit of magis because if Jesus chose the most loving option of dying for my sins on the cross that I may live now, why should I not also use the life I've been given to share magis to others - be it in small or big things.
