The diractor of sport siad that the pitch is free of charge but the transport may cost some money. I have passed this on to the transport team.

Today we messaged lee who is a director to request for a first aid kit for the match. Lee said that a first aid kit could be provided and that we should speak to Luke who is in charge of the college football team. Luke confirmed that we can use the first aid kit.

Transport to St. Georges

I have sent a message to the team leader of the sports department to arrange transport. This was the conversation that was had:

Hi, I don’t know if your aware or not but in Sophie’s lesson, WIS have to plan a football event over at St. George's park and I am in control of the transport so I’m wondering if you are able to contact them for the 11th of February on a Tuesday if we are able to use the coach that takes our class from collage to Shobnall to instead take us from collage to St. George's park for 1:30pm then take us back to collage at 4:00pm ?

I received a reply from the team leader to say:

Message to Tutor

Today we messaged our tutor Sophie to ask if she can send out the medical form in the Teams groups for the football match. She said that she will pass it on.

This is the weather for the day of the match. There are unlikely to be any weather hazards that could impact on the safety of the game. If the weather changes near to the event then we will try to move the event inside. If it is a big risk to people's health and safety then we will try to move the event to a different day.

Transport Confirmed and Cost

Today I received confirmation of the transport, and that it could take up to 54 people to St.George's park for the charity match. The transport company is viking coaches. The team leader of sport made sure that the transport did not cost anything by cancelling a booking that they already had so that the coach could go to the event.

Today I confirmed the overall number of people on the bus. All of the players and spectators were able to fit on the bus. There will be 49 people in total attending the match. 3 people will not be using the bus and will make their own way to the event.

Aims of The Event

The aims of the event are to raise as much money as possible for the motor neurone disease charity called The Motor Neurone Disease Association. Also, the aim of the event is to create a fun and enjoyable event which people participate in and enjoy, and to help people to make new links around college to help with their social connections. We also want to show a positive reputation of the college.

Today we contacted the director lee about the cost of the event. Lee confirmed the date for the pitch booking as the 11th February, and this is at no cost to us. The pitch hire is free because of the partnership of the college with St.George's park.

Today we asked Luke if we could use the college footballs. This is free for the event so there is no cost. We will also be using the college bibs if we need to and equipment like cones which are free of charge.

We have contacted Jane from Burton Albion and we have also contacted Ashby Ivanhoe and they have both said that they can provide the kits free of charge. This means that the cost of the event is still free.

Sponsorship Deal

Today EveryoneActive said that they would sponsor us on our silver package for £100. We now have a sponsor for the event.

Target Group
