As I walked outside, I felt the connectedness to the land in which I walk and live on. The land I walked on was the property that I live on that I collected the vegetation. In the image I collected the Gatton Panic grass that I walked on, a bougainvillea that was on the ground, bloodwood tree, oleander was the pink flower that surrounds the chook pen. The vegetation makes me feel connected to the land and happy. This vegetation belongs to the larger ecosystem in which surrounds the area I live.

when completing the activity, I followed the instructions that I was given. Art is about expressing yourself and showing what you feel through art. I took this activity as an opportunity to create something that I was feeling while following the instruction. I took them to my interpretation and came up with an artwork that I thought looked good. This activity would be a great warm up activity or a calming activity that can show many different students’ perspective on instructions given.

This activity was enjoyable to complete as I am not usually a technical or musical person. However, when looking at the task and seeing how I could use different sounds to express my thoughts on the artwork I soon came to create what I believed represented the artwork. the soundscape idea would be a great hands-on activity for students to complete in class. This activity allows for students to express themselves in the way they see fit which means it would be an inclusive activity.

My animal movement sequence was a kangaroo as it is an Australian animal that I have grown up watching and seeing move around. After researching and watching videos of Kangaroos it was clear that they have specific movements that they continued to do. The movement sequence that I decided could represent a Kangaroo would be a jump to the left, scratch the ear with a hand (like a paw), jump to the right, bend down to eat some grass then jump forward high like jumping over a fence. This activity is an engaging activity that incorporates learning about animals and the arts in one. This concept and activity could be integrated into many other subjects. This activity could be used across all year levels and even brought up by videoing or making one with multiple animals.
