         <description><![CDATA[<div>Exposure to Ultraviolet radiation from the sun can penetrate unprotected skin and can cause damage.&nbsp;<br><br>Protective factors: slop in SPF50+ sunscreen, slip on protective clothing when possible, slap on a hat, seek shade whenever possible and slide on sunglasses.&nbsp;<br><br>Risk: being outside on a hot day without sunscreen or (slip,slop,slap,seek,slide)&nbsp;<br><br>How can it effected Health and development:&nbsp;<br>P-&nbsp; risk of cancer, blistering, headaches, nausea, vomiting, dizziness&nbsp;and serve pain <br>M-&nbsp;depression or feelings of sadness resulted from not being able to be in the sun on  a hot day if burnt <br>S- positive- being able to had fun with mates in the sun in a safe environment if S.S.S.S.S is applied . Negative-&nbsp;not being able to go to the beach or in the sun for summer because of being sun burnt <br><br>P- Risk of cancer can result in being bed ridden&nbsp;<br>I- knowledge about being sun smart can improve <br>E- Emotions develop has have to deal with a range of emotions that can revolve around having or developing cancer&nbsp;<br>S-&nbsp;being with friends outside in the sun  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Alcohol Use</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alcohol is the most widely used and accepted recreational drug in Australia. However, over consumption can casue serious disease, illness and injury-related deaths. <br>Effects- Liver failure. Overconsumption of alcohol kills liver cells and replaces them with scar tissue.  This will eventually kill you.<br>Cardiovascular Disease- Over consumption of alcohol will lead to elevated blood pressure and LDL cholesterol and increases chance of stroke or heart attack. <br>Mental Health- Having alcohol can increase anxiety levels. For adults who suffer depression alcohol can increase the severity of the depression and their ability to cooperate with others.<br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals and water are all needed to be consumed in balanced amounts for healthy growth and development.<br><br>Certain nutrients act as risk and protective factors for specific diet-related diseases.<br><br>Physical Health - a balanced diet can prevent diet-related diseases, for example obesity and diabetes.<br>Mental Health - lacking a balanced diet can cause a lack of energy which can effect mood.<br>Social Health - if food intake is not balanced, obesity and diseases can result, which may cause the individual to isolate themselves from society which will impair their social health.<br><br>Physical development - as young adults are at the peak of their lives, having a balanced diet will ensure that they do, in fact, have peak muscle strength, health and lifestyle.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>More than 4 million adults, or 26% of those aged 18 years and over, reported feeling unsafe alone at home, walking at night in their neighborhood, or taking public transport at night alone&nbsp;<br><br>Victims of crime many experience a range of impacts on health of individual human development including:<br>- nightmares<br>- sadness&nbsp;<br>-guilt or shame&nbsp;<br>- panic or confusion&nbsp;<br>- fear of anxiety&nbsp;<br>- depression&nbsp;<br>-feelings of loss of privacy or control&nbsp;<br><br>Fear of personal safety can restrict the adult's participation as their is a reduce trust in the community. As a result, they may lose interest in daily activities which will reduce their fitness levels and impac their maintenance and development of bone mass and muscle tissue. With reduce interaction with the community, social contact with others will decline.&nbsp;<br>In contrast, adults that have a sense of safety within their neighborhood are more likely to be involved in community activities, thereby promoting their health and individual development  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Tobacco smoking has a huge impact on morbidity and mortality rates for adults in Australia. It is one of the most single preventable causes of ill-health and death.&nbsp;<br>The effects that Tobacco smoking have on you include:&nbsp;<br>- Dizziness&nbsp;<br>- Head tremors&nbsp;<br>- coldness in extremities&nbsp;<br>- irritation of eyes and nose&nbsp;<br>increased chance of getting a cold or a cough&nbsp;<br>- bronchitis&nbsp;<br>- increased acid in the stomach leading to ulcers<br>- reduced appetite&nbsp;<br>- reduce sense of smell and taste&nbsp;<br>- bad breathe&nbsp;<br>- reduced physical endurance&nbsp;<br>- increased effect of irritants of allergies&nbsp;<br>- increased chance in lung infections&nbsp;<br>- increased risk of miscarriage in pregnant women who smoke.&nbsp;<br>Although quitting smoking has long term health benefits for adults:&nbsp;<br>- within 12 hours: most nicotine is out of the blood stream.&nbsp;<br>-within 24 hours: carbon monoxide blood levels have dropped majorly, heart rate slows, tremors chance lessens and skin temperature warms up.&nbsp;<br>- within a month: your immune system starts to recover.&nbsp;<br>- within three months: symptoms like coughing, mucus and wheezing decreases and your blood flow to hands and feet improves.&nbsp;<br>- after 6 months: stress levels are lower and lung functioning improves.&nbsp;<br>- after 12 months: increased risk of heart disease halved compared to when you were smoking.&nbsp;<br>-after 15 years: the risk of heart disease and stroke is almost the same as any adult that has never smoked. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>HOUSING STRESS<br>- Many Australian adults suffer from housing stress as it also impacts on the health and individual development.&nbsp;<br>- This happens when the cost of housing is high in relation to household income, and when at least one-third of family income is required to meet rent or mortgage payments.<br>- This can also occur from financial stress, leaving adults such as electricity, gas and water, nutrition, health care and clothing.&nbsp;<br>-This type of stress has a great impact on individuals on lower-income households because they have little money to meet basic needs.<br>- The families with low income often have to spend nearly one third if their income on housing costs.<br>- Families and individuals struggling with financial stress such as not being ablate cover rent or mortgage payments and other necessities of life can lead to health complications and affects all aspects of individual human development.&nbsp;<br>- The effects on health include<br>migraine or tension headaches&nbsp;<br>insomnia or other sleep disorders&nbsp;<br>anxiety, anger and irritability&nbsp;<br>memory lapses&nbsp;<br>shoulder, neck or back pain&nbsp;<br>chronic fatigue&nbsp;<br>heart palpitations&nbsp;<br>skin conditions&nbsp;<br>heartburn<br>diarrhoea or constipation&nbsp;<br>dizziness&nbsp;<br>shortness of breath<br>heart problems&nbsp;<br>chronic pain<br>- Financial stress can also lead to some adults going without meals or not consuming foods that meets their nutritional requirements<br>- Long term concequences can lead to a range of diet-related conditions such as osteoporosis, CVD and type 2 diabetes.<br>- Financial stress can also place hard time on relationships with family, partner and friends. This can lead to the individual feeling isolated and have reduced opportunities for socialisation. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Physical activity benefit adults by reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke and hypertension, also helps maintain and develop strength/stamina&nbsp;<br><br>Risk Factors: Not doing physical activity can result in the build up of fat which can cause obesity or cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes.&nbsp;<br>Protective Factors:&nbsp; Going to the gym or a recreational health center doing fitness or exercise&nbsp;<br><br>P- Reduced risk of CVD, type 2 diabetes and other conditions. As well as improving strength in bones and stamina . Motor and fine motor skills improving <br>M- Happiness, feeling of well being for feeling fit and healthy . <br>S- Social environment making new friends to help with the journey of fitness <br><br>P- growth of strength in muscles and bones <br>I- knowledge of fitness and physical activity improves <br>E- Feelings of self concept can improve and awareness of emotions <br>S-  Communication can improve with a range of different ages of people ( if go to a recreational place to do fitness) </div>]]></description>

The national drug strategy defines a drug as including tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceutical and illicit substances such as heroin and ecstasy.<br>Effects-<br>Damage to body organs- Heavy drug use can affect the liver, brain, lungs, throat and stomach.&nbsp;<br>Infectious Diseases- Sharing needles can lead to blood-borne disease<br>Injuries and accidents- Drug-related injuries can be linked to fighting and falls as well as accidents&nbsp; that occur when driving or operating machinery.<br>Depression- It is common to feel low after using drugs. This can be the aftereffects of the drug itself or something you did while taking the drug.<br>Stress- Some adult use certain drug to help them relax. However, changing the way the body and mind work with drugs is a form of stress in itself and users can experience tension, anxiety or paranoia if they don't take the drug or from taking the drug&nbsp;<br>Relationship problems- Family breakdown and conflict between friends and partners are more common with drug users. </div>]]></description>

It helps prevent disease, screening for disease or treating illness. The range of health services that are available to Australian adults has contributed to the increase in life expectancy over the past two decades, as diseases are detected earlier and treatments. there are many health care services available to improve the health and development of adults including breast Screen Australia and the National Bowel Cancer Screening program. Not all Australians have equal access to health care. those living in rural and remote communities, Indigenous people and those from low socioeconomic backgrounds are often disadvantages in relation to accessing a range of health care services. </div>]]></description>
