She is excited thinking that a lot of newspapers will publish the article she created with her friend and she is happy about that.

That in reality not everything is as she thinks it is, because apparently no journal wants to publish her article and they must have put a lot of effort into it.

I think not, because he might be misunderstanding and being negative when in fact if there are many journals that want to publish it as the friend says, maybe she is not wrong and he misunderstood.

In my opinion the girl is excited because maybe she is reading and exciting article or news and she liked it.

I think the man is trying to say that his magazine was rejected so he´s not as excited as the girl.

I think everything is clear and maybe the man is being very negative while the girl is very happy.
