You get up and realize you don't know anyone there and you don’t remember your family or friends. Only thing you can remember is common knowledge like knowing about fruits, how to play and work. Well in these articles we're going to go through the jobs, slang, about the characters and a problem they face in this place called the glade. Life in the glade - chapter 1In the glade there's many jobs and tasks to do. Some of these jobs are a runner, med-jack, slopper and many more. Most of these jobs are straightforward. Runners run in the maze, the cook cooks and Builders build things. But some are more complicated and not straightforward like slicers that feed and raise livestock like cows and pigs.Also in the novel there are different types of slang. Some of the slang is klunk, shank, shuck, slim it, slint head, greenie or green bean, newbie, good that and jacked. Klunk means poop, shank means a friend but it can also be Insulting, when you say shuck it's usually when you messed up, slim it means shut it or telling someone to be quiet, slint head is an insult. Greenie or green bean is the new person to the maze so is newbie. When you say good that it means you’re right and jacked is describing a person messed up in the head.Now that I told you most of the things in the glade let's talk about the maze. In the maze there are walls that Rotate every night. When it's night time these monsters called grievers come out. They are very dangerous and they are half animal and half robotic. They can either sting you or bite you. There are Cures that come every month to heal you from the bites or stings. Everyday runners we searched the maze for clues or an exit from the Glade.I told you I told you a lot about the Glade in the maze. I told you about jobs, the maze and the slang. It's almost like you're living in the Glade. I hope you learned a lot about the glade from these paragraphs. About the Characters - chapter 2The first character I am going to talk about is Thomas.Thomas is the main character throughout the story. Some character traits for him would be smart, curious and tough. He’s one of the newbies, but came in the box that delivered all of the other characters. Thomas was a little different though. The time he was in the maze weird things happened that NEVER happened before like the sun in the maze disappearing and a girl named Teresa arriving. This brings me to my next character Teresa. She comes a little later in the story and also came from the box but with a note that said that she's the last person to come. This was very weird for 2 reasons. 1 she was in a coma when she came and some people thought she was dead and 2 she was the first girl to arrive. The res another thing Ifogot to tell you when we were talking about Thomas is that they can talk to each other through their minds.(Thomas toke some time to learn how to talk back in his mind)Now we are going to talk about Chuck. Chuck is Thomas' best friend and he was the greenie before Thomas. Some of Chuck's character traits are fearful, kind and loyal. Chuck is a nice kid, he's always with Thomas and would help him with everything. You now know a lot about the main characters but there are other characters like Newt, Alby and Minho. I showed you these characters so you know them better and their backstory when they pop up later in this book.Challenges and problems throughout the maze runner - Chapter 3In the maze runner the gladers face many challenges. Throughout the 3 paragraphs we are going to discuss the problems, how it affects the story and/or the characters and describing the setting of the problem.The problem I'm going to talk about is the time when Thomas, Minho and Alby got trapped outside the maze at night. Being in the maze at night is very dangerous because of grievers. Grievers are half animal half robot beast it has huge spikes and rolls through the maze mostly at night. While the grievers were coming Alby had got stinged by one. Getting stinged or bitten is really bad if you don't have the griever serum near you because you could possibly die, even with serum you go crazy and get flashbacks.Thomas and Minho now need to survive and try to keep Alby safe. Minho is the leader of the runners which means he's in charge. Minho said “ We have to split up” Dashner,2009,118 . Which is not leader like after Minho scram and Thomas is left alone with an unconscious Alby (because of the sting).Thomas starts to climb a vine and picks up Alby and ties a vine to him. Thomas keeps getting higher and higher with Alby so they don't get touched by the grievers. He gets really high and waits there so the gievers don't get him but unfortunately they can climb, the only way out of it is down. He leaps down and leaves Alby hanging in hope he survives. He runs in the maze to hope the grievers get lost. He gets to a dead end cornered by a void at the end of the maze and 3 grievers.He keeps repeating jumping to the side while Minho reunites with Thomas and does the same motion. The grevers fall into the void and they are saved because it is now morning and the gievers will be gone. After that incident Minho wants to promote Thomas to be The maze keeper. A keeper is practically the leader of the job that they're doing. This was huge and Thomas was shocked. Fanfiction about Chuck - chapter 4Some background info leading up to the event that I'm going to talk about is that They just escape the maze. The gang that consisted of Chuck, Alby, Newt, Thomas and Teresa there also was a bunch of random other gladers. Gally And wicked which Is the company that trapped them in the maze. Galley throws a knife at Thomas but Chuck dives in front. In this fanfiction I'm going to write if Chuck didn't die and Gally Missed the throw. (From Thomas POV)“Welcome back,” the woman finally said. " over 2 years, in so few dead. Amazing." Thomas felt his mouth dropped open-Felt anger reading his face. “Hey-” Newt said before getting cut off. " everything has gone perfectly as we expected, mr. Newton. Although we expected a few more of you to give out after that long time.” She glanced to the person with the black hoodie that you came in with. She reached down to grab the hood off of the kid. you looked up, crying up a storm. Every glader in the room could barely breathe Because of how shocked they were. Thomas felt a weird feeling Coming upon him. It was Gally. Thomas rubs his eyes like he was hoping he really wasn't there. " what's he doing here!” Minho shouted. " you're safe now,” The woman responded as if she didn't hear him. “Please, be at ease” “at ease?” Minho barked. She looked at Minho. " you have no idea what you're talking about, boy. I'd expect more maturity from someone who's passed the maze trials.” her concerning tone shocked me. " Gally what's going on?" said Newt. He didn't look right. In fact he looked awful, well I mean worse than before. “I’m…. getting…control-” Gally tried to say and sounded like he was dying. He got something shiny and long out of his pocket. It was a wicked-looking dagger, grip tightly in his fingers. He reached back and threw the knife at me. I could sense movement from my side. It was Chuck he was going to try to dive in front of me so I didn't get hit by the knife. This made Gally hesitate as he threw the knife. This made the knife go off course into the wall. Chuck fell to the ground without any injuries besides a bruise in this side because of the impact. The whole crew got furious of Gally’s attempted murder on Thomas. Minho grabbed the knife, wedged into the wall and pointed it at Gally. The woman went out of the door in her van to get away from Minho, who could have gotten her hurt with the knife. Gally wasn't mind controlled anymore, had joined our side to hunt down wicked to make everything back to normal. Conclusion Now that you read all of this information it's like you are ready to be a character in the glade! You experienced slang, animals, jobs problems and more in these chapters. “Today, class I have some news,” said my 7th grade teacher, Miss Fizz. I jotted up from my paper I was writing on. “There will be a final on monday.” Suddenly it felt like I was slowly moving away from the class in disbelief. A final?! I have no time. No time because of homework, sports the list is endless. Then again how did I forget the english final! I remember the teacher reading the hunger games to us, or was that girl in the arena?…..  I took a deep breath, I need to calm down. Alright, I could maybe cut out one of my art classes. I was trying to be as optimistic as possible. What's the best route here? I raise my hand…

It's only 12:00. I couldn't take it any longer. I raise my hand. “Miss Fizz, my stomach hurt” I say with a frown. “Ok, Jake go to the nurse”. I get out of my seat slowly grabbing my stomach so it looks like it hurts. When I get out of her site I start booking it down the hall. To my surprise I got there cleanly, like without anyone seeing me run like there's hot coal under my feet. I start to say “My stomach hurt-” she cuts me off by saying “is that it? You never come here even if your head  falls off?” “Well my stomach just hurts bad” I say as fast as I ran to get here. “O..k, I’ll call your mom to pick you up,'' she said unsure. “Bye!”  “bye?”

We got home and on the ride to get there I said I was feeling better so my mom didn't get suspicious and also not to go to the doctor. I went straight to my room and was ready to study. An hour passed and I wasn't making much progress so I left my room. My mom was standing there, I was so confused? Did she find out I lied? A smile popped on her face, I felt a little relief. “We're going to have a nice dinner tomorrow at that fancy restaurant I was trying to book for a looong time. It has mediterranean shrimp, Hassel back Tomato Caprese and mini Sandwich Cakes. I don't really know what most of those things are but they sound great!” “Thats soooo awesome!” “I know!!” I was excited because we have been trying to book this for like over a year!


I went back to studying and had trouble understanding some things for the rest of the night, but was still making little progress. The big dinner will be really soon! It was now 6:00 and we were getting ready to leave. I put on my fancy shirt with black and red stripes. Me and my brother were ready to leave but I wish I could say the same about my sister. She was going down the stairs in her red heels. OH NO! You guessed it she fell down the stairs. “Are you alright sweetie” said my mom. My sister replied “No, my ankle really hurts” as she was trying to hold back the tears. “She has to go to the doctor,” said my mom. The. Dinner. is. Cancelled.


I was SUPER bummed. My sister probably twisted her ankle  and the big dinner has been cancelled. I ate leftovers and went to sleep. I have sports games today so I have NO time(Football game and a basketball game). I get up from my bed and see my parents chilling. I asked why weren't they getting ready for the football game.They said the sports are cancelled for today. I was kind of happy because of the fact of more study time. I was studying off of the study sheet Miss Fizz gave us and believe it or not it was actually helping a lot! I guess I should listen to her more.

It's now sunday and I made huge progress yesterday. I get almost everything today. I thought that I should treat myself by going to my friend's house. “hey John,” I say as I hop out of my mom’s car. Were at the local playground. It doesn't sound that cool but it's a pretty good hang out place. He replied hey back and we were talking quite a bit about the upcoming final and joking around saying it was not even that hard. We walked down the sidewalk to our favorite pizza place. The pizza is stupid cheep and it comes with garlic knotes. Afterwards, we go to Johns house to play video games. This was a pretty fun day.

I got home to see the worst thing possible. Remember when I said I was studying, I was also writing everything down. The problem is that I put it near the sink when I was going to leave in the morning so I would read it over before school, well it's soaked. You can't even read a word on it. There’s nothing I can do but pray to get a decent grade.

It's now monday, the final is VERY soon but I decided to take a glance at my soaked paper. Suddenly I remember all the studying in my head about the hunger games and the, how to develop a paragraph instruction. It's all coming back to me. I was feeling wayyyy more confident. Well, I walked to my classroom feeling good. Miss Fizz tells us to sit down, she hands us the final and it actually looked really easy on the first page but oh god I was wrong the second page was a living nightmare. I had low confidence after a couple of pages. I just hope to pass. We handed them in and got them back. Miss Fizz announces “The good news is that someone got a hundred and the bad news is almost half failed.” oh jeez I failed right? She hands me my paper and I turn it over slowly. I see one 0 so far. Could it be a 70 or a 80 please. I flipped it fully over and I was in disbelief. ONE HUNDRED! How! I was so happy! I guess I made enough time.
